Vita Referrals provides a comprehensive suite of advanced veterinary services, catering to a wide range of complex medical and surgical needs. Their expertise extends across various specialities, ensuring that pets receive the focused care they require.

- Advanced Diagnostics: Utilising state-of-the-art equipment, they offer in-depth diagnostic services, including CT scans, to accurately identify underlying health problems that might not be evident through standard examinations.
- Referral Consultations: Vita Referrals acts as a referral centre, meaning they accept cases from primary veterinary practices that require a second opinion, specialised expertise, or advanced treatment options.
- Post-Operative Care and Rehabilitation Guidance: They provide thorough post-surgical care, monitoring, and guidance for recovery, ensuring a smooth and effective rehabilitation process for pets.
- Comprehensive Treatment Planning: Each case receives a tailored action plan, outlining next steps, potential treatments, and expected outcomes, all clearly communicated to the pet owner.

Vita Referrals stands out for several key features that enhance the pet owner experience and demonstrate their commitment to exceptional care.
- Transparent Fixed Pricing: One of their most significant differentiators is their transparent, fixed pricing for surgeries, clearly displayed on their website. This eliminates uncertainty and provides pet owners with peace of mind regarding costs. For instance, dogs up to 50kg are charged the same rate for specific procedures, offering excellent value.
- Surgery Guarantee: Vita Referrals offers a unique guarantee on their surgeries. As highlighted by a customer, they honoured this without question when a pet experienced a fracture during recovery, demonstrating their commitment to successful outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Dedicated Communication App: They utilise an innovative app that allows pet owners to communicate directly with staff while their pet is hospitalised. This invaluable tool facilitates real-time updates, including pictures and progress reports, and allows owners to ask questions, greatly reducing anxiety during their pet's stay.
- Efficient Insurance Claim Processing: The team at Vita Referrals is highly efficient in submitting insurance claims, streamlining the administrative burden for pet owners and ensuring prompt reimbursement.
- Highly Recommended by Peers and Clients: Their strong reputation is built on consistent recommendations from other veterinary practices and glowing testimonials from satisfied clients who praise their expertise, empathy, and positive outcomes.
- Knowledgeable and Empathetic Staff: Customers consistently highlight the friendly, understanding, and knowledgeable nature of the receptionists, vets, and clinical staff, who take the time to explain diagnoses and treatment plans thoroughly.

Vita Referrals Reviews
Amazing vets & I would highly recommend them!! Took my golden retriever Digby to see Vita after he started with lameness & they were recommended to me by a friend. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, explained everything to me and the options I had (answered all my questions and I had a lot!) and it was clear how much they all genuinely care about their patients. The surgery was booked in quickly (Digby needed bi-lateral TPLO surgery). Things that make them different to other vets - they have fixed prices showing on their websites and dogs up to 50kg get charged the same. They offer a guarantee on surgery (which we used without question when Digby got a fracture while recovering from surgery). They also submitted the insurance claim quickly for me. They have an amazing app that means you can communicate with the staff while your pet is staying with them, and they sent me updates & pictures to show how Digby was doing after surgery (I also used this to ask questions during recovery). Digby is now getting back to his normal happy self thanks to Rob & the staff at Vita Referrals – I would highly recommend them & I won't hesitate to use them again in the future.
May 04, 2025 · Sara CockerhamI got referred to vita referrals from my vets after my vets findings didn’t explain my dog’s walking issues so they wanted a second opinion.I have insurance through animal friends and vita was happy for me to go through my insurance as long as there was a pre-approval from my insurance. When I took Bruno today I was met by a lovely friendly receptionist who even showed me a map with places on it to go with my children whilst I waited for Bruno to have a CT scan. The vet was very knowledgeable, very understanding and even took the time to explain things in detail.Today I got answers as to why Bruno isn’t walking correctly, they put in an action plan on next steps and even printed me out a report with their findings. Most definitely recommend and most definitely worth the price too!
Jun 03, 2025 · JasmineWe was referred to Vita by our local vet in November last year when we found out our 4 month old puppy Cosmo had hip dysplasia and have been on quite the journey since with Vita being with us every step of the way. After being referred we was promptly contacted by Vitas superb receptionist, Nicola. Nicola booked us in for a consultation and promptly sent a confirmation email and information. We met Nick in December, he was really knowledgeable and lovely, explaining everything to us and reassuring us - I was quite emotional!! It was agreed that as Cosmo was handling his hip issue so well that we would wait until he was 9 months old to have Total Hip Replacement surgery. We got back in touch With Nicola in February and as agreed booked Cosmo in with Nicks colleague Stuart who specialised in small dogs. We met Stuart the day before Cosmos operation, again he was lovely, highly knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly and you could tell he really cared. We left Cosmo in Vitas capable hands. All the nursing team were amazing and responsive. They have a fab app called PetsApp to contact the nurses, they were more than happy to send updates and photos which was so lovely and you could tell they really cared, even cooking our fussy little pampered pooch fresh chicken to try encourage him to eat! Cosmo stayed a couple of nights and we was kept thoroughly up to speed by phone and PetsApp on surgery day and during his stay with them. Once Cosmo was discharged we was able to correspond with the team via PetsApp quickly and easily, it was a really worrying time following this major operation so I contacted the team a number of times and never once felt I was being a bother, twice we was concerned about Cosmos recovery and Nick or Stuart immediately saw us the same day both times (at no cost) which was amazing. Sadly Cosmo also had a problem with his knee which worsened rapidly once his hip was corrected so 6 weeks post THR in he went again for luxating patella surgery. Again Stuart and the team explained everything to us thoroughly pre and post op and again the fab vet nurses cooked Prince Cosmo fresh chicken and sent us lovely photo updates! Ellie submits the insurance claims on your behalf, our second claim was initially rejected so I emailed Vita to advise and Ellie promptly contacted our insurers and got them to put it in for a reassessment and kept in contact with us until the claim was eventually passed which we are very grateful for. Last week Cosmo went in for 12 week xrays, 2 days before his 1st birthday - despite everything hes been through he still happily walked into the surgery which i think says a lot! And we got the amazing news that they had no concerns so we can now build back up his exercise and soon Cosmo can get back to being a puppy again! I am so glad we picked Vita from the options we had when our vet referred us, they specialise in THR surgery, all the team show genuine compassion and care, they offer affordable fixed price surgeries with no unexpected costs, convenient location with parking and 24/7 care including being able to pick your pet up on discharge out of usual office hours which is really helpful during stressful times. I cannot recommend Vita enough, we are so very grateful to Stuart and all the team for giving our fur-baby such expert care and for reassuring me when I was an emotional wreck on more than one occasion!Thank you Team Vita, from Cosmo and the Jackson family x
Jun 16, 2025 · Kelly JacksonWhat an amazing and refreshing organisation. A service driven by the quality of care it provides to its patients rather than money. These guys genuinely care, and it shows. From the very first introduction, in the most difficult and upsetting of circumstances we were made to feel supported, reassured and genuinely cared for, and this is an on going commitment to you by them. Our mini dachshund has faced two lots of IVDD and three spinal surgeries. Rob has been outstanding throughout the whole process and always contactable in any circumstance to listen to our concerns and provide advice and support. The nurses are just wonderful and provided so much love and care for our little dachshund during his stays . We were provided with an app with 24/7 access to the nurse on call who sent updates and photos regularly . It was incredibly reassuring. There are not enough stars available to properly rate this place. We were lucky to find them and would not hesitate to recommend , We cannot thank Rob, Michaela and the rest of the team enough. 🐾 ♥️ Luigi, Chris and Victoria
