Holmefield Veterinary Clinic Reviews
First time visiting since we moved to the area. Very welcoming when we arrived and the vet was excellent with keeping my cat calm. Really pleased with the detailed explanations and clarity of pricing. Happy to have such a reassuring vet clinic in the area!(Photo of Jasper who would still rather not going to the V.E.T.S. though!)
Nov 22, 2024 · Harriet StaintonAs a new client to the practice I can't fault. My dog is very nervous on vet visits and was due his boosters. The practice was exceptional with him and kept him calm and completed the vaccinations in no time.
Jun 04, 2025 · Michelle SteeleI want to stay with Holmfield, but I often feel there's such a high turn around of vets they never get to know the pets they treat, yr lucky at Brayton if you see same vet. Reception at Brayton is hit and miss. Angie at Sherburn is lovely, But for me it's the cost. Its eye-wateringly expensive compared to other vets locally, its getting ridiculous. My old dog I'll continue with Holmfield at Sherburn for her sake, but my pup will probably eventually go to Parkhill near Wetherby. Holmfield used to have a discount for repeat visits for same illness, but that's gone. Water tablets are 10x price that my mum pays for same ones, everything is more expensive here for the same meds and care.
Feb 18, 2025 · J BStandard of care is excellent. Opening times are limited but can usually get an appointment within a couple of days. Very pushy with medication and always seem to prescribe something. Pet plan seems a good option to save money.
Jan 14, 2025 · Daniel BakerSue the vet was brilliant at handling our nervous dog when having his yearly vaccination and health check. She was very calm when he displayed aggression. It made the experience a lot less stressful for us and our pup. I highly recommend Sue as a vet. She gave good advice on how we can tackle future appointments for our nervous dog.
