While Bowbroom Boarding Cattery primarily specialises in providing exceptional boarding services for cats, their approach to care implicitly includes a keen eye on the animals' overall health, which is a vital component of "veterinary care" in the broader sense of animal well-being. Their services are centred around ensuring the comfort and health of their feline guests.
Comfortable and Clean Cat Accommodation: The cattery provides immaculately clean, spacious pens designed to offer maximum comfort. These pens are not clinical in appearance, aiming for a homely feel, which helps cats settle in more quickly.
Large Pens with Viewing Areas: Each pen features a generous size, often including an upper platform and a ramp, allowing cats to explore and relax at different levels. Crucially, pens also offer a view of the outside, providing mental stimulation and a sense of connection with the environment.
Individualised Care and Attention: The owners, Debbie and Vaughn, are known for their deep passion and caring approach towards all the cats. They observe each cat's eating habits and behaviour, providing detailed feedback to owners upon pick-up. This level of personalised attention ensures that any health concerns or changes in routine are quickly noted.
Regular Monitoring of Health and Well-being: While not a veterinary clinic, the attentive staff closely monitor the health and demeanour of all boarded cats. Should any animal show signs of distress or illness, their commitment to the cats' welfare means they would promptly contact the owner and, if necessary, facilitate a visit to a local veterinary surgery, as evidenced by customer testimonials.
Dietary Management: They are attentive to the eating habits of their feline guests, providing appropriate food and ensuring that each cat maintains a healthy appetite during their stay.
Bowbroom Boarding Cattery boasts several features and highlights that consistently receive praise from their clientele, reinforcing their reputation as a premier choice for cat boarding in the region.
Impeccably Clean Facilities: A recurring theme in customer reviews is the exceptional cleanliness of the cattery. This hygiene standard is crucial for preventing the spread of illness and providing a healthy environment for the cats.
Caring and Passionate Owners: Debbie and Vaughn, the owners, are frequently highlighted for their genuine love and dedication to the cats in their care. Their hands-on approach and visible passion create a comforting and trustworthy atmosphere for both pets and owners.
Comfortable and Engaging Environment: The pens are described as spacious, with features like upper platforms and ramps, promoting activity and comfort. The inclusion of an outside view helps to keep the cats entertained and reduces potential stress.
Reasonable Pricing: Despite the high standard of care and facilities, customers consistently note that the prices are very reasonable, offering excellent value for money.
Positive Cat Reactions: Perhaps the most telling highlight is the feedback from owners about their cats' behaviour. Cats often return home relaxed, clean, and healthy, indicating a comfortable and positive experience at the cattery. Even shy cats have been observed coming out of their shells to play, a testament to the soothing environment and gentle interactions provided.
Trusted by Repeat Customers: Many reviews highlight long-standing relationships with the cattery, with owners returning year after year, sometimes with multiple cats, which speaks volumes about their consistent quality and reliability.

May 30, 2024 · Alex TurrellAn amazing place for our cat to stay while we're away. Debbie and Vaughn are both so lovely and you can see how passionate and caring they are for all the cats there. We always feel so comfortable leaving our cat in their care knowing they're well looked after. Most importantly, we know our cat feels comfortable there too. Although she's a little shy, she does come out of her shell to play with them which tells us she's in great hands 😉🙂
Feb 24, 2022 · Hayley RogersWe have used this cattery for years and continued to do so when Debbie and Vaughan took over. I can only say I would trust my cat with them 100% they are so kind and caring, such lovely people and I wish them all the best for the future. Don't hesitate to take your cats here, they are truly cared for.
Jul 07, 2022 · Tony JohnsonWe didn't actually end up sending our cat here because we didn't have proof of vaccinations with us which is our fault but I think the three times we rang it could have been mentioned so that we had a heads up as we are newish cat owners and hadn't used a cattery before. However speaking to the lady she was lovely and if we do get vaccination cards sorted I would like to use this cattery as it looked clean tidy and well run.
