Catastrophe!!! Came down with my dog for blood test which costed me £250 the tests should tell us if there is something wrong with the dog. The first sample was lost so we had to come back for another one in few days, then we had to wait 2 weeks for the results. Then they told us that there might be problem with the liver but they are not sure. They recommended another blood test which would be £370🤯. Absolute ripe off the dog was fine they just want to earn money on us!!!! - Marek G

  • Pet Neutering: Offering both spaying and castration procedures for dogs, cats, and rabbits, which contribute to population control and can have various health and behavioural benefits for pets.

Vets4Pets Peterborough Bretton demonstrates several key features and highlights that contribute to its service quality and client experience. While, like any service, individual feedback can vary, certain aspects frequently emerge:

  • Compassionate and Understanding Staff: A significant highlight, as indicated by a positive review, is the team's ability to handle anxious and nervous pets with exceptional care and understanding. The specific mention of Sue the receptionist going "out of her way to make him as comfortable as possible" for an anxious German Shepherd, and the veterinarians being "very understanding with his behaviours," speaks volumes about their patient-centric approach. This empathetic handling greatly reduces stress for both pets and owners.
  • Friendly and Welcoming Environment: The positive mention of staff being "amazing" and "lovely" suggests a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, which is crucial for building trust and making veterinary visits less daunting.
  • Convenient Location: Being situated within Pets at Home provides unparalleled convenience, combining veterinary care with access to pet supplies in one accessible location, often with ample parking.
  • Continuity of Care (for specific cases): For established clients, the team's familiarity with their pet's history and specific needs, especially for pets with behavioural challenges, offers a sense of stability and tailored care.

However, it is also important to acknowledge that some negative experiences have been reported. One review detailed issues with lost blood samples, long waiting times for results, and uncertainty regarding diagnoses, leading to recommendations for expensive follow-up tests. The client felt this indicated an "absolute rip off" and a desire to "just want to earn money." While this represents one experience, it highlights the importance of clear communication, transparent pricing, and efficient service delivery in building client trust. Prospective clients should consider discussing these points to ensure alignment with their expectations.
