Sutterton Veterinary Hospital is an RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, a prestigious accreditation that signifies the highest standards of veterinary care, facilities, and hygiene. This is not just a standard vet clinic; it's a fully equipped hospital capable of handling a wide range of medical and surgical cases, including critical emergencies. Their commitment extends beyond routine check-ups, embracing advanced diagnostics, complex surgeries, and dedicated inpatient care. What truly sets them apart, as highlighted by numerous testimonials, is their unwavering dedication to animal comfort and owner support, even during the most challenging times. We will delve into their accessible location, the extensive array of services they offer, the unique features that make them a leading veterinary facility, and why they are an excellent choice for pet owners in Lincolnshire and beyond.
Sutterton Veterinary Hospital is conveniently located at Station Rd, Sutterton, Boston PE20 2LF, UK. Sutterton is a village in the Borough of Boston, Lincolnshire, England, situated south of the town of Boston. This location offers a blend of rural tranquility and practical accessibility, making it a viable option for pet owners throughout Lincolnshire and parts of the wider East of England region.
For those travelling by car, Station Road in Sutterton is well-connected to major road networks. The A16, a primary route running through Lincolnshire, is easily accessible, providing direct links to Boston, Spalding, and Peterborough. This strategic positioning means that clients from across the county can reach the hospital with relative ease. The presence of "Station Road" in the address might suggest proximity to a railway station, which could offer further accessibility, though direct information about passenger rail services at Sutterton should be verified if relying on train travel. Ample parking facilities are typically available at a hospital of this size, ensuring a stress-free arrival for pet owners, especially those with anxious animals or in emergency situations.
While public transport links to rural locations can sometimes be limited, bus services likely operate through Sutterton, connecting it to Boston and surrounding villages. However, for pet emergencies or for owners with limited mobility or an unwell pet, private transport remains the most practical choice. The fact that the hospital serves as an out-of-hours emergency service for several other local practices (like South Lincs Vet Group and Avenue Veterinary Centre) further underscores its crucial role and its accessibility for urgent cases across a broad geographical area in Lincolnshire. This hub status for emergency care means they are set up to receive patients from various routes and at all hours.

This ensures continuity of care, access to patient history, and immediate response for hospitalised animals, with the duty nurse awake all night for constant monitoring.

This consistently high level of empathetic and professional interaction is a major highlight, especially for anxious pets and worried owners.
- Advanced Diagnostic and Treatment Capabilities: The extensive range of modern equipment, including CT scanners, ultrasounds, endoscopes, and therapeutic lasers, allows for precise diagnosis and advanced treatment options that may not be available at smaller clinics.
- Specialised Wards for Different Species: The provision of separate, sound-dampened areas for cats and dogs, along with dedicated reptile vivariums, significantly enhances patient comfort and recovery, demonstrating a deep understanding of animal behaviour and needs.
- Commitment to Patient Comfort and Reducing Stress: The staff's ability to handle nervous animals with patience and care, making preliminary examinations possible even for fearful dogs, underlines their dedication to a low-stress environment.

Sutterton Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Had to bring my dog into the hospital as she was bleeding from the mouth.Everything was really well done. The receptionist was very welcoming and personable. We were sent to a seat and within a minute the lovely female vet asked us into a consultation room. Our dog is not a fan of vets as she is really scared however the vet was very good and was able to do her preliminary examination without too much of a response. We were so impressed with them that we are taking her back tomorrow for an ultrasound scan.
Jun 08, 2025 · Dawn ZalasWe visited the emergency service after encountering several injured wild birds, and I’m glad we did. The staff member who assisted us over the phone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, the reception staff continued to provide excellent service.
Jun 29, 2025 · 7БаН ДиткА7I regularly visit the Sutterton branch with my dogs for multiple reasons and they’re great there. The staff are always lovely and polite especially the reception team. I have to also say the past three vets I’ve seen have been amazing, they have been genuinely caring and lovely towards my dogs including giving them a lot of attention which makes my dogs feel very reassured. I can highly recommend the vets Ashleigh, Hannah and Avodeji 🐾
May 29, 2025 · Madi CorbyWe've had some bad experiences at other vets to the point where one of our dogs is terrified of people, but everyone at Sutterton (and Holbeach) have been really lovely and caring. They've taking it slow, offered us extra accommodations to not only ensure our dog has the best experience she can at the time, but also try and make her feel better about the vets long term. They're thorough in their investigation, clear with their pricing and options and really caring even when our dog is playing up. Feels like they truly care for the animals in their care. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone.
