Wear Referrals Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Hospital Reviews
From the moment our poorly dog (Dotty) arrived the staff were excellent and reassuring. They quickly identified the issue (blockage in her tummy from a foreign object). An over night stay with fluids to get her strong enough to operate on, the following day operation and then one more over night stay to ensure Dotty was well enough to leave. We received numerous calls from Rachel (the vet looking after Dotty) explaining how Dotty was doing, and how her treatment was progressing. At all times she was honest with us about costs and risks involved. When we got the call to say Dotty was well enough to come home, we went in and Rachel was there to greet us and hand Dotty over as well as explain the aftercare required. We paid our insurance excess, and Wear Referrals deal with our insurance company on our before to get the rest of the bill settled. All in all, a very stressful time made a lot easier thanks to the reassurance and care from all the staff. We owe them all a huge thank you for getting Dotty back home to us.
Feb 09, 2025 · Andrew GoodchildProfessional, respectful and fully investigated our dog Toby in a few hours. Caring and explained everything properly to us. Admin, nurses and vet were fantastic. It was not the news we wanted to hear from the vet, but if anyone’s loved one needs investigating, this is the place to go.
Jul 05, 2025 · Michael TangI brought my cat Milo here for emergency treatment when he couldn’t breathe properly. The staff were all amazing, even to the point where the reception staff were waiting in the carpark for me so they could quickly get him on oxygen. They looked after him really well and explained all the options to me, and the vet who saw/treated him, Marina, was great.Nothing is too much bother for any of the staff here. They have a cat friendly waiting area, but even went as far as to move me and Milo into a consult room to wait since there was a reactive dog in the surgery, and Milo was getting quite stressed. Really considerate of them.
