Blythman & Partners - Gateshead Reviews
Our dog came second in a scrap with another dog - nasty cut chin and other scuffs. Really quick response from Gateshead (‘can you get here in 10 minutes’). Quickly seen and assessed, given first aid and follow-up advice and medication. Treated me and the dog with kindness and sensitivity. Thanks you to all the staff involved.
April 29 · RodI took my very obviously, very heavily pregnant dog here. It was my first visit as it was the closest vet to my new home, and it will be my last too. I knew she was pregnant as she had been around an intact dog while she was in heat, she was showing every symptom, had gained a very large amount of weight and I could feel movement inside of her. The vet claimed he "couldn't tell" if she was pregnant. I would have to pay hundreds of pounds for ultrasounds, anaesthetic, blood tests, urine tests, xrays etc, to be told something I already knew. I just needed to know how far along she was and approximately how many puppies she was carrying. The vet tried to tell me that "if" my dog was pregnant, it was going to cost me thousands of pounds due to all the veterinary care she would need during pregnancy and after pregnancy.. A few comments were made to try and make me feel like an irresponsible owner because of the pregnancy but I eventually got a word in to explain it was PLANNED! He claimed to have seen fleas on my dog too! Turns out it was a scab! He tried to sell me flea treatments but I explained I did not need these as I have a subscription and get them every month. Told me the product I use is "useless" and tried to sell me more expensive products. My dogs have NEVER had fleas with the treatments I use. Less than 48 hours after seeing the vet and refusing to pay all the money they wanted, my dog gave birth to 7 healthy puppies with no veterinary care at all required. She and her pups were perfectly fine and are all healthy and happy.I'm shocked and appalled at the greed of this surgery. It was all about getting money out of me while the health and safety of my dog and her pups seemed unimportant. I would never put my heavily pregnant dog under anaesthetic but according to the vet it was "essential" to do. I will never return to this surgery!
April 25 · Nikki SutherlandI can't fault the standard of care at Blythman and partners. They've looked after my little dog since she came to us last year. All the staff are caring and compassionate and all the assessments we've had have been very thorough. They always fit us in quickly when we've had concerns. They spayed her and did a brilliant job, to the incision scar is tiny. I highly recommend them!
November 04 · Nicola McCrearyAt anytime we have been to see Vet we have had exceptional help, advice and service from the Reception Staff to the Nurses and the Vets.
