firstvets - Heaton Reviews
Awful service! The reception staff are incompetent it seems. 3 times they have told me I had an appointment, my dog needs a procedure, yet 3 separate times they hadn’t booked us in. No contact. I’m so angry about it this, can I speak to a manager? Looking through the reviews it seems the quality of service has really fallen in Heaton’s first vets. I want to find another vet as I don’t trust them anymore. Mistakes from incompetence can hurt the animals and owners who have put their trust in First Vets.
Apr 04, 2025 · The Poet's PassportThey are great here, always treat my girls with the most kindness. Would also recommend the healthy pets club, for free health checks, nail clips, and worm and flea treatments too.Can usually get parked right outside as well which is a bonus.
Apr 27, 2023 · SammTook my daughter’s dog as he’s an infection near his back end. I never got an answer to what it was or why it came about, nor did I receive anything to treat it. However I did get every product they sell almost forced upon me to buy within a matter of seconds which I then after my initial shock I declined. I struggled to get the vet to cut two of his nails which in fact all were bad and needed done but I came away after a two minute conversation and £90 lighter. I write this still confused to what is wrong with my daughters dog and feel as tho I’ve just chucked away nearly £100 for my own wasted time. Been with this vets for many years but I won’t be going back unfortunately
Nov 19, 2024 · Mick JukesThank you First Vets Heaton for looking after Miss Elizabeth, my beautiful kitten during her op today x
Mar 21, 2025 · Michelle RichardsMy bunny came in with a hard to diagnose urine rash due to swelling and got seen to straight away! We only paid for a the medication (anti inflammatory and cream) that cleared everything up in less than four days. As we’re members of the happy pet club and registered there (took less than 10 mins over the phone), his check up followed 7 days later and didn’t cost anything (they also made sure their rabbit specialist was in to give an expert opinion on potential cause). He was in the follow up for 20 mins after a low cost manageable treatment that showed results in days - he might of needed injections/weekly treatment. It felt like they did everything possible to keep my best interests at heart a pet owner, as well as my bunny’s specific health needs and potential stress free treatment - he hasn’t stopped binkying since!
