Animal Trust Vets CIC - Blackburn Introduce
For pet owners in England, especially within the vibrant community of Blackburn and surrounding areas, finding a veterinary practice that combines expertise with genuine compassion and affordability is incredibly important. Animal Trust Vets CIC - Blackburn stands out as a leading provider of comprehensive veterinary care, built on a unique model designed to put pet welfare and accessibility first. This article delves into what makes Animal Trust Vets CIC - Blackburn a truly exceptional choice for your beloved animal companions.
Animal Trust Vets CIC is not just another veterinary clinic; it operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC). This means their primary objective is to benefit the community and animal welfare, rather than maximising profit. Any surplus generated is reinvested directly back into the company to improve facilities, enhance services, and keep prices fair for pet owners. This commitment to a social mission ensures that high-quality veterinary care is more accessible to a wider range of households, helping to bridge the gap between expensive commercial practices and charity-based services.
From routine check-ups and vaccinations to complex surgical procedures and emergency care, Animal Trust Vets CIC - Blackburn offers a full spectrum of services. Their approach is rooted in transparent pricing and a dedication to finding the best treatment options that fit both your pet's needs and your financial situation. Pet owners frequently praise the team's ability to listen, their thoroughness in diagnosis, and the compassionate care provided, even in the most difficult circumstances. This patient-first philosophy, combined with their CIC status, makes Animal Trust Vets CIC - Blackburn a truly invaluable asset to the local pet-owning community.
Animal Trust Vets CIC - Blackburn is strategically located at Manxman Rd, Blackburn BB2 3JH, UK. This address places the practice within a readily accessible area of Blackburn, making it convenient for residents of the town and those commuting from nearby areas within Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Manxman Road is typically well-connected, ensuring that reaching the clinic by car is straightforward. The presence of on-site parking is often a significant benefit for pet owners, especially when transporting an unwell or anxious animal, as it eliminates the stress of searching for a space. Given that many pet owners travel by car for veterinary appointments, this accessibility is a major advantage.
While specific public transport links to Manxman Road would require local knowledge, most areas in Blackburn are served by bus routes, and a short walk or taxi ride from a bus stop would likely connect you to the clinic. The location aims to provide a balance of being easy to find without being in an overly congested town centre, contributing to a more relaxed experience for both pets and their owners.

- General Surgery: A wide array of surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) surgery, and tumour removal.
- Orthopaedic Surgery: Specialised surgical interventions for bone and joint conditions, often requiring advanced expertise and equipment.
- Emergency and Out-of-Hours Care: While Blackburn has operating hours, Animal Trust provides emergency out-of-hours access at their Pet A&E centres, often linked with their Bolton hospital, ensuring continuous care when the main surgery is closed.
- Referral Services: For highly complex cases that require specialist expertise beyond general practice, Animal Trust can manage referrals, often at more affordable rates than conventional referral centres.
- In-house Pharmacy and Laboratory: Enabling quick access to necessary medications and rapid processing of diagnostic tests for efficient treatment planning.
- Nurse Clinics: Appointments with highly qualified veterinary nurses for advice on nutrition, weight management, post-operative care, and various preventative health topics.
- Community Interest Company (CIC) Status: Animal Trust Vets operates as a CIC, meaning their profits are reinvested into the practice to provide affordable, accessible, and high-quality veterinary care to the community, rather than being distributed to shareholders. This ethical model prioritises animal welfare over profit.
- Free Consultations: A cornerstone of their patient-first approach, the offer of free initial consultations removes financial barriers, encouraging early veterinary attention which can be crucial for a pet's health.
- Transparent and Fair Pricing: Animal Trust is committed to transparent pricing, often publishing their prices online. This allows pet owners to understand costs upfront and avoid unexpected bills, especially for critical treatments. They aim to make urgent and lifesaving care more affordable.
- Highly Skilled and Compassionate Team: Customer reviews frequently highlight the exceptional dedication and expertise of the veterinary staff. Jennifer, for example, is praised for her ability to detect a missed heart issue and provide excellent care for both her client's dog, Lenny, and her mother's dog.
- Patient-Centric Approach: The emphasis on listening to pet owners' concerns and providing caring support, even during difficult times such as euthanasia, is a recurring theme in positive feedback, demonstrating a deep empathy for both pets and their families.

Jennifer is an incredible vet. Listened to my concerns about my boy Lenny and quickly discovered he had a heart issue. This had been missed previously by several vets. She did all the necessary actions for him. We are now hopefully on a path to getting some answers.Jennifer was also brilliant with my mums dog.Thank you!
Mar 29, 2025 · Georgia DoyleThis vets is first class. Top quality care at fair prices. When we had a dog that needed to be euthanised they were really great. We had a lovely caring vet who helped us. Highly recommended.
Jun 30, 2025 · CLIVIGERWe can't praise this practice enough! The vets are compassionate, caring and always professional. The reception staff are friendly, kind and very efficient. We are so glad we switched from our previous practice. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a veterinary surgery for their pets. The whole team are amazing and truly care for both pets and their families. Thank you all so much.
Mar 27, 2025 · Jacqui EntwistleWe have been to many different vets over the years having owned many pets. Without a doubt, we cannot rate Animal Trust high enough, they are quite simply the very best. Many other vets across the whole country that we have been to, whilst obviously doing the right thing as vets, a lot do undoubtedly seem very concerned about the money .... at Animal Trust THEIR main concern is your pet...getting the best care for your pet, whilst also having the time and patience to explain clearly the medications they are providing to you, how best to give them , listening to your worries etc. They are by far the most caring human beings out there. We are very thankful for them, and so are our precious pets. Serena and David.
May 25, 2025 · Serena SmithI had my first visit with my little dog Booboo today, after hearing great things about these vets, I was not disappointed, my vet was a great lady, who listened to everything I told her, and even though she told me booboo had a problem with her teeth, which I had not noticed, she said it in a very non judgemental and caring way, which I really appreciated, very caring staff and that includes the reception staff, who were lovely, I feel very confident going back for my next appointment. Thank you.
