Services Offered
- Veterinary Physiotherapy: This core service focuses on assessing and treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in animals. Techniques may include manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy to reduce pain, improve mobility, restore function, and enhance overall quality of life. It’s suitable for a wide range of conditions, from arthritis and post-surgical rehabilitation to sports injuries and age-related stiffness.
- Hydrotherapy: Utilising the therapeutic benefits of water, hydrotherapy involves controlled exercise in a heated pool. The buoyancy of the water reduces impact on joints, making it ideal for animals with mobility issues or those recovering from injury. It helps to build muscle strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, increase range of motion, and reduce pain. The centre offers both rehabilitation-focused hydrotherapy and fun, fitness-based swims.
- Post-Operative Rehabilitation: Tailored programmes designed to aid the recovery process following surgical procedures. These programmes aim to accelerate healing, prevent complications, restore strength and mobility, and ensure a smooth return to normal activity.
- Pain Management: A multi-modal approach to managing chronic or acute pain in animals, often incorporating a combination of physiotherapy techniques, hydrotherapy, and advice on home care. The goal is to improve comfort and enhance the animal's well-being.
- Fitness and Conditioning Swims: Beyond rehabilitation, the centre offers sessions purely for maintaining fitness, building stamina, and providing a safe and enjoyable form of exercise for healthy dogs. These fun swims are particularly popular for active breeds or for dogs who simply love being in the water.
- Geriatric Support: Specialised care for older animals dealing with age-related conditions such as osteoarthritis, muscle wastage, and reduced mobility. The services aim to improve comfort, maintain independence, and enhance their quality of life in their later years.
- Performance Enhancement: For canine athletes or working dogs, tailored programmes can help to improve strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination, optimising their performance and preventing injuries.

They’re endurance has improved tremendously, not to mention their confidence when they go to the lake or beach. I have to thank Sophie for all her hard work with my doggies.
