Town & Country Veterinary Centre stands out significantly due to several key features and highlights that are consistently praised by its clientele:
Market Harborough's Only Independent Practice: This is a major distinguishing factor. Being independent allows them greater flexibility in their approach to care, often fostering a more personal, community-focused ethos compared to larger corporate chains. It also means direct accountability and a deep investment in local relationships.
Exceptional Continuity of Care: A recurring highlight from customer reviews is the ability to "see the same vet and not a different vet each time." This continuity is invaluable for long-term conditions, building trust between the pet, owner, and veterinary team, and ensuring a thorough understanding of the animal's history and personality.
Highly Welcoming and Approachable Staff: Customers consistently describe every staff member as "welcoming, approachable, helpful and happy." This friendly atmosphere significantly reduces stress for both pets and owners during visits.
Transparent and Non-Pressured Discussions: Clients appreciate that "treatment options have always been fully discussed," and they have "never felt pushed into having tests/investigations." This commitment to clear communication and allowing owners to make informed decisions without pressure is highly valued.
Rapid Response to Urgent Needs: On occasions when pets are "very poorly or required further investigation," clients note that this is "dealt with very quickly," demonstrating their efficiency and dedication to critical care.
Dual Specialisation (Pet & Equine): Unlike many practices that focus solely on small animals, Town & Country's equally strong dedication and comprehensive services for equine clients make them a unique and invaluable resource for the broader rural community.
Purpose-Built Facilities: Their modern, purpose-built small animal practice, equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and operating facilities, ensures pets receive the highest standard of medical care.
Helpful Reminders: The provision of "text reminders" for appointments or routine care is a small but highly appreciated detail that enhances client convenience.

Town & Country Veterinary Centre Reviews
I have used Town and Country Vets for a number of years for my dogs. I have always been very satisfied with all the staff members that I have encountered. Everyone is so welcoming, approachable, helpful and happy. I have never felt rushed during my consultation and I really value being able to see the same vet and not a different vet each time. Treatment options have always been fully discussed and I have never felt pushed into having tests/investigations. On the occasions when my dogs have been very poorly or required further investigation this has been dealt with very quickly. Definitely 5 star service and the best practice around for miles.

May 27, 2025 · wendy donovanCaring, professional, friendly, thorough, helpful practice. Receptionists, nurses and vets (In particular Michael) have all been brilliant. It's never easy leaving a loved pet at the vets for any procedure but it helps knowing they are so well cared for at Town and Country. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Jun 27, 2025 · Tansy TillyAlways lovely caring and helpful staff. I’m on crutches at present and one of the staff saw me as I got out of my car and she immediately came out to assist with the cat basket and my bag. I also must commend a very gentle and careful vet who was so patient to my old lady cat Bella who was reluctant to come out of her cat basket.
