Grange Veterinary Surgery Reviews
Went with kane and skyla amazing vets and very paitent thankyou xxx
May 16, 2025 · Harley MaltbyBeing a little nervous on owning our first Dog, a 10 week old Cocker Spaniel, my experience with this Surgery was excellent. From my initial Phone Call to examination by Senior Vet Natalie we felt comfortable and everything was explained very well. Coco also loved the attention and was very well behaved!
Aug 16, 2024 · Martin ArnoldI would not recommend this vet.Towards the end of 2023 my dog was due his booster and general check up but I got a phone call on the morning to say it had to be cancelled as the one who does vaccinations wasn't available. I asked if I could still have an appointment that day as my dog was having ear issues and they agreed and gave me one. We re-booked the booster for the following week. At the check up he was given antibiotics for an infection and told to go back in a week, I said we already had an appointment a week later for his booster and they agreed that was ok. A week later, we took him in for his booster as agreed. On the morning of this appointment, I had a voicemail left that specifically said he had his booster booked and would we be able to reschedule due to an emergency they needed to fit in, when I rang them back they said they had sorted the emergency and to bring him in as agreed. At the appointment, they got the vaccinations out ready and the kennel cough and started to explain to my husband what the kennel cough was as it wasn't a needle like the others. When they asked how he was in general, my husband said he was doing ok and the meds were working for his ears. It was at that point the vet decided to look at his notes and shouted at my husband that he shouldn't be there for his vaccinations unless 48hours clear of the medication and why had we brought him in and wasted their time. They then went on to say how dangerous it is to have the vaccination when on the medication he was on and that it could have caused serious side affects.Had we known this we wouldn't have him booked in, however this is down to the vets to read the actual notes and tell us. When I complained they told me that he wasn't booked in for his vaccinations and was just for a check up and charged me for the appointment! We were on a pet plan so vaccinations were free as was a review. They refused to budge on the charge and I felt I had no choice to pay as I didn't want bad credit due to me due to sign for a new mortgage.Later on that week, I got a letter from the vets effectively asking us to leave the practice as trust had clearly broken down.I put in a formal complaint about them. They tried to ring me once and I was in a work meeting so didn't answer. The vet was then on leave and I have heard nothing else since. Their lack of care could have seriously damaged my dog and they didn't even have the decency to apologise or even acknowledge the complaint.
