Collins Vets Reviews
I have been taking my pets to Collins for over 18 years and have never had any issues with them. Even my tortoise they were happy to try their best, even though it's not their speciality. Most recently my 8 year old Beagle ruptured his cruciate ligament. He was is agonising pain. Collins fit him straight in, they treated him with only essential treatment, no pumping up the bills unnecessarily like a lot of vets do. They kept him on until the referral vet could perform the surgery, which was cutting edge technique and he was walking out the same day. I had a problem getting medication into him, not a problem, they arranged for an injection of the antibiotics and pain meds so he didn't suffer.I'm so incredibly grateful to the whole team in Collins, from their professional and friendly service, to their assistance with claims forms and advice on all aspects of care. I have a special thanks to Kieran, the vet, who has been caring for our dog for years over a number of issues. They care so much for the animals they treat and go above and beyond to be transparent and reasonable.

Oct 14, 2024 · Agata RussLeft in a senior cat with breathing difficulties on the Fri spoke to the vet on Sat for an update and I explained I didn't have pet insurance and said I didn't want the bill to get out of hand. Long story short the cat had to be put down and I got a bill for almost £1k.

Apr 07, 2021 · jayWhen my beautiful dog, Skye, took very ill, my usual vet couldn't look at him as there were no emergency appointments left! Even though I had been with them for year's and explained to them how ill I believed him to be! Anyway rang Collins who told me to bring him in which I did, they were absolutely amazing with him and explained everything to me, unfortunately he couldn't be helped and we had to put him to sleep, they were so dignified and treated him with such love and respect at the end that it really helped me to be there with him as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I will be forever grateful to Collins vet and they have a new customer for life.
