- **Availability of Diagnostic Tools:** The clinic has the capability to "scanned her to find out she had pyometra," indicating access to diagnostic equipment for internal conditions.
- **Provision of Treatment Options:** The clinic offers different approaches to treatment, as seen in the initial discussion of operation versus injections for pyometra.
It is important to note concerns raised by a customer in a detailed review, which describe a negative experience during a series of visits for a complex case. These concerns include:
- **Inconsistent Advice:** The customer felt that initial positive advice regarding injections was later contradicted by persistent recommendations for surgery, even when the injections seemed to be working.
- **Perceived Lack of Thoroughness:** A concern was raised that the pet was not thoroughly checked over on one visit, despite a serious condition.
- **Poor Customer Service and Communication:** The customer reported "disgusting" attitude and "unprofessional" manners from a receptionist/manager, including an assumption about non-payment and a "smirk." This significantly impacted the customer's experience and trust.
- **Unresolved Issues Regarding Care Decisions:** The customer felt pressured towards an operation they did not want, even after positive scan results, leading them to seek care elsewhere.

For pet owners in Rothwell, Leeds, and the surrounding areas of England, Beehive Vets (Rothwell) offers a local option for veterinary care. The clinic has demonstrated a willingness to provide immediate assistance in emergencies, as highlighted by a customer whose dog was treated just before closing time, showcasing a commitment to urgent patient needs and describing the staff as "Great great people."
However, potential clients should be aware of varying experiences reported by customers. While the initial prompt care for an emergency injury was appreciated, a comprehensive review detailing a complex case of pyometra raised significant concerns regarding consistent advice, perceived thoroughness of examination, and particularly, highly unprofessional customer service from a staff member at the reception/management level. These points of feedback suggest that while the clinic can provide immediate care, experiences may vary, particularly during extended or complicated treatment courses, and aspects of customer interaction need to be considered. For locals, Beehive Vets (Rothwell) can be a convenient option for certain needs, but it is always advisable for pet owners to feel fully comfortable with their chosen veterinary practice, especially for ongoing and critical care.

May 22 · Jasmine SnowdenTook my 12 year old dog to beehive as she was ill they scanned her to find out she had pyometra this was on 02/07/25.I asked what the options where there was 2 options 1, an operation which I wasn't keen on as she is 12 years old.So chose injections.First visit was great.03/07/25 Took to emergency vets through night.Advised me to continue with injections as they where starting to work.03/07/25 second injection at beehive which the vet just told us to have the operation even though the injections where working Took her home .04/07/25 back to beehive to remove canula vets advised us to have operation even without checking her over most of the infection had drained out of her ,told vet I didn't want to have the operation she asked to scanned her i said yes came back looking good but didn't even wipe the jelly off her stomach, still asked to operate on her I said no I will take her to abbey house vets instead.Made us wait for the nurse to remove canula then after seeing another appointment decide to remove the canula herself instead of the nurse .Went to put my dog in the car the receptionist turn and shouted at me "it's OK if you don't want to pay your on cctv"At which i said im just going to put the dog in the car first.I returned to the reception to pay and asked to see the manager which she replied I'm the manager with a smirk on her face.i asked who the owner was which she replied you can email us.Her attitude and manners where discussing so unprofessional, assuming i wasn't going to pay I'd already paid nearly a thousand pounds for treatment, I wasn't going to run off for £161
July 06 · Pete TiffanyAbsolutely fantastic experience at Beehive Vet's. We came in for a keyhole spay on our border collie, the vet was incredibly welcoming and put my mind at rest. She was very knowledgeable and patient, and extremely good with Ava, who was very nervous to be there. The process went as well as we could have hoped, with a great follow-up to boot. Extremely happy with the whole thing and would definitely recommend to others - we will definitely look to come here again in the future please! Thank you again for all you help and support.Natalie, Snaith
March 04 · Natalie WatkinsonHeartily recommended! Lovely caring staff and appointments always on time. Reasonably priced compared to some vets we've been to in the past.
June 17 · Stuart McCluskeyHad my first visit here today with my aggressive/nervous chihuahua, Chloe was absolutely amazing with him and spoke with me about my concerns about him. At previous vets I had been rushed through the consultations, Chloe took her time with him and wasn’t afraid to handle him even with the muzzle on! All the staff we saw today were so lovely, thank you so so much, I’m so glad I’ve found such an amazing vets! x
