The unpredictable nature of pet health means that emergencies can arise at any time, day or night. Wicstun Veterinary Hospital 24 Hour embodies these qualities, offering round-the-clock care provided by their own dedicated team, ensuring continuity and familiarity in times of need. This level of dedication makes Wicstun Veterinary Hospital a truly vital asset to the regional community.
Wicstun Veterinary Hospital 24 Hour is strategically located at Cavendish Drive, Holme Rd, Market Weighton, York YO43 3GY, UK. This location offers significant advantages for pet owners across East Yorkshire and beyond. Market Weighton is a well-situated market town within the East Riding of Yorkshire, easily accessible from surrounding towns and villages, including York, Beverley, and Hull. Being located on Cavendish Drive, typically a more accessible area on the outskirts of the town, often means easier navigation and ample, free parking, which is a significant convenience for clients, particularly during emergencies or when transporting an unwell animal.
The hospital's central position in the region, coupled with excellent road networks, allows it to serve a wide catchment area. As one customer noted, the willingness to undertake a "40-mile round trip for peace of mind" underscores the hospital's reputation and the perceived value of its services, despite potential travel distances. This accessibility is crucial for both routine appointments and, more critically, for emergency situations where immediate access to high-quality care is paramount. The fact that they provide their own 24/7 emergency cover on-site, rather than referring to an external, unfamiliar clinic, further enhances the peace of mind for local pet owners.

Wicstun Veterinary Hospital 24 Hour Reviews
I HIGHLY recommend this veterinary hospital! My dog had suffered an injury to her left side and needed stitching immediately. Our vets were in York, but as we were in Market Weighton, I rang this vets, they were 100% professional from the receptionist answering the phone and keeping me calm when I forgot which insurance was for Harleyquinn. All the staff were so kind and lovely, the surgery is immaculate, major plus, as we've had a bad experience at another vet's! We are now several weeks on, and the wound is healing well, with no complications at all. This hospital is now our veterinary hospital, the 40 mile round trip for peace of mind is worth it!!! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you so much, everyone 💖

Dec 06, 2024 · Peter ScottOur Frenchie Olive suffered a horiffic dog attack & had a large area of her back and neck badly bitten. We rushed her to Wicstun vet hospital. She was shaking and panting with shock and we were worried that she wouldn't make it.Upon arrival, a vet nurse was in the car park waiting to assist, with a towel to wrap Olive in. She was then immediately put onto an iv drip and admitted to the hospital. Over a 2 week period Olive needed to revisit the hospital on numerous occasions and be sedated whilst her dressings were changed.Thankfully Olive's progress has been good. The care and support received at Wicstun (Amber in particular) has been exceptional & we are sincerely grateful.Mark & Belinda Craig....and Olive
Jul 02, 2025 · Belinda CraigAt last a vet I can trust. Will and Andrew are superb, and I feel totally supported and not alone when it comes to decisions about my greyhound StanLee.It's great the hospital is part of the vets staffed with vets, nurses from the practices.Receptionists always friendly and helpful.Yes it costs quite a lot, but 100% worth it, afterall, nothing worth having comes cheap. We are your biggest fans, although Stanlee doesn't want to see you for a while!!Thanks again Vicki and StanLee 🐾 🐾
Jan 17, 2025 · vicki pellattOur beautiful cat was very ill and needed help to go on his final journey . Our usual vet dealt us a severe blow by quoting an astronmical fee for that service. I contacted Wicston and they were so kind and offered to help us on that day at home for a far morerealistic cost. John, the vet, was so lovely, practical and reassuring and Max passed in literally seconds. We recieved a card a few days later which made us cry all over again....so kind...
