Feb 21, 2025 · GK LkCan I not give zero stars? I was with Ashwood for a good few years (maybe 7). My dog developed seizirures. Everything they did was just to make money. Ashwood along with 'Vets Now' took the entirety of my insurance money in the space of 2 weeks (£6500) plus what I had to pay (20%). They went silent until the day my insurance renewed and they were back on the phone. (Literally the day it renewed) Shame on you Joanna!Still no resolution to the problem or answers to the issue in hand.Their next step was to do an unnecessary MRI that costs £3000. Which would reveal nothing more conclusive.Even then there was no path to resolution.I have every call recorded and I know I can't share it due to legal reasons. If there is a work around for that let me know. Given this, I know I'm in the right and they are horrendous. They didn't help my dog and they said some outrageous rubbish about steroids/antibiotics, including what medication would harm her. The medication they advised against helped her, troublesly and she is doing well now.I changed vets and my dog is being given the help and support she needed in the first place. She is definitely more stable. Additionally it cost me a few hundred pounds. Not THOUSANDS!In my view, the owner, Patrick is criminally a professional BS'r and in no way trustworthy. I have friends who know him through church and they are not surprised. They claim to be independent, thus more dependable, exact the opposite!I'd be wary, very wary. This is my view, only mine. I'm sure you'll have your own thoughts and that's fine. I did leave a negative review on their website (which was fair) and surprisingly it wasn't published.
Jul 16, 2025 · Neil JEvery single member of the Ashwood team is exemplary. They are patient with owners and clearly have a genuine love for animals. We had our dog neutered with them recently. We were unsure about him going through the procedure and Niall in took so much time to explain things and set our minds at ease. Monty is now a little bit lighter but healing well and his usual bouncy, happy self. We feel we made the right decision and would not hesitate to recommend Ashwood to anyone.
Jan 13, 2025 · HelenExcellent care. We had a very sudden loss of our pet dog and the whole team were respectful and made a difficult situation much more bearable. Thanks everyone!
Apr 30, 2025 · Matthew JacksonI've been using these vets for nearly 1 year now. Everyone is very friendly, and they have their own brand of pet food and treats.
