Blue Cross Pet Care Clinic Reviews
i wasn’t going to mention anything, i want to assume the best and never leave bad reviews but i see people here have had equally bad experiences, first i will say the nurses and receptionist team are lovely.the male vet however has zero people skills and comes across as rude. we came in for an emergency dental just over a year ago and my dog came back to me the next day with a small lump/ scar on his head which till this day is still there. i dont know what caused it, im assuming they were rough with the dental clamps..? no explanation or apologieseither way my whole experience here was not good and i just hope my dog was treated nicely, but i am grateful for their out of hours support and emergency services its a good thing they’re doing ..they could just be nicer and more gentler to the owners and pets alike?

Jun 18, 2023 · Clare WrightI first came to Steads vets almost 3 years ago when it was still blue Cross, never the less mr stead has helped save my lovely lab willows life 3 times now, she came to me at 7 yesterday old, an unspayed working dog, with breast cancer, she was spayed then had her first lumpectomy, 6 months I found another lump and that was removed, willow has gone 23 months and she developed another lump, so shes had in total 4 ops now that includes spaying, andfor some reason willow had recovered quicker and fitter with this last op, I would not let my dog suffer and if I thought she was quite ill or tired of life I would not have proceeded, so I thought I'd give her this one last chance at it, if I get another 23 months again I will be more than happy, any time at all us precious, but who knows? But all i know he has saved my dogs life, bringing quality to her life, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steads I trust him completely with willow, his staff are just the best girls, always so lovely and friendly, I did think should I take willow to vets I had previously to steads?, but I honestly thought if he saved her life when it was Blue Cross and a donation, why change now we have to pay the proper price, I Didnt think that a fair or very nice thing to do,so I opted to stay with steads and I'm glad I did, a thousand thanks to all the team, Helen Casey and Willow
Jun 04, 2025 · RandomFor years, I've always said Mr. Stead was a fantastic vet and always made excuses for his rude manners because he had always been good to my dogs. but today, he was just awful to me, and he had no intentions of helping my dog,I'm so angry at the way I was treated. His staff, on the other hand, are fantastic and said he was rude to me because he was hot and tried, but excuse me, we were all hot and tried including his staff but they were great. To the STAFF at Mr Stead veterinary practice, thank you so much, and I really appreciate what you do for my pets.
Jul 19, 2024 · Jan moodyStaff were lovely.Told the vet we were here because he had fleas and struggled with his skin which caused him to be constantly bleeding, to which he said "that's because he's covered in fleas" and that was it.He was not very gentle with getting him out the crateThen proceeded to ram my cat back in his carrier then shove his blanket over him, leaving him crammed in the corner. We were in there 30 seconds, didn't take any look at the wounds on his head or body. Gave him one look and said we needed repeat flea treatment which he didn't even give us.
