Alexander Vets Reviews
In my eyes, they care more for money than your furry family. Not all the people but definitely a couple of rotten apples work there. It's hard not to add swear words in this post, and I certainly don't post this lightly. 2 visits cost over £600. That was for bloods and anti biotics, and to be told, he'll have 4 to 6 weeks before he deteriorates. Sadly, he went down so fast within a week. My dog was suffering so much, and any animal lover knows how hard it is to make " the decision " When asking for the vet to come out as I was not going to put my dog through hell as his last journey. He could only make it in 3 days' time. The nurse on the phone didn't have an ounce of sympathy ( the kind of voice that couldn't care less, and she had something more important to do ) My only option was to ring another vet to explain my circumstance. They let us have some time with our dog, knowing his fate. The new vet could not believe what this practice was putting us through. Needless to say, we are out of Alexander's now and will tell anyone looking for a vet our story. Good riddance. And before anyone jumps on the band wagon. Some people may like this practice, and that's fair enough. I am only writing my experience.
Feb 15, 2024 · Di WhitesideI think saying I loved my experience here is wrong as we had to say goodbye to our family dog. However, the staff are absolutely first class here and I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else as they treat them all like their own. The looked after us when we needed it the most. Thank you to all the staff there
Nov 09, 2021 · Rochelle BerryAbsolutely brilliant! All my pets seem to have had a really good experience with Alexander Vets as they have not minded going back for check-ups!!! Friendly, professional and obviously very caring.
Aug 24, 2021 · Richard ButlerMuch better with the new management, feel better about using it. Was waiting to be told if they owed me money from last year. I now know. My dog is almost 5, I'm still waiting for a quote to have her spayed asked several times. Will try again now.
Mar 27, 2021 · Helen TempletonThe vets is currently open for appointments only due to Covid. There is lots of attention to the social distancing rules (spaced out seating, plastic screening on reception and also touch free hand sanitiser provided on entry/exit). There isn't a lot of parking outside (due to the very small bays) but you can park on adjacent roads for free. My cat has seen two different vets in the space of one week and both were very friendly and professional. The charges for services are about average and the receptionist can print an itemised receipt if required. Pet owners have to wait in the reception area whilst their pets are being treated in the back but that's to be expected during the current pandemic. All in all I was really happy with the treatments my cat received.
