Abbey Veterinary Centre - Durham Reviews
Abbey Vets have the BEST team making every visit a pleasure for my dogs. Today we had Mabel in for a suspected infection and she made a beeline for the ladies on reception. She was greeted with so much affection and excitement as always. She sniffed out the treats within seconds! We saw Rachel today who explained everything in great depth, advised costs, gave us options, advised possible complications and made it clear what was required to keep Mabel’s best interests at heart. Mabel needed a scan, the girls in the back room were so lovely with her, making me feel at ease when they took her away. A fantastic team of staff who do Abbey Vets proud 👏🏻
Apr 02, 2025 · Michelle CummingsMy little girl came in for her spay 28th March I was very nervous for her. The care was second to none! The lovely welcome from the receptionist and then the gentle care from the nicest nurse before she went in I was really put to ease and I left my girl with the kindest people! Thank you so much for looking after Evie xxx
Apr 12, 2025 · Holly ParkinJoined today and got a last min appt. Honestly the nicest experience i’ve ever had in a vets. From the receptionists being welcoming to the vets knowledge and care. I’d give 10 stars if i could
Jul 09, 2025 · JAX-N MusicMy indoor cat needed emergency appointment which was organised by the most helpful and friendly staff member. Reception area quiet and clean. They attended to my cat straight away.Excellent vet. Excellent service. Really put me at ease to bring my cat/s there again. Thank you Abbey Vets.
Mar 18, 2025 · Robert DaviesExtremely disappointed with the treatment my dog received here. After a stressful and confusing experience, we were sent home with no clear instructions, no pain relief, and no proper aftercare. We were told my dog’s claw would be removed — it wasn’t — and days later, he’s still struggling and in pain. I submitted a formal complaint and was told it would be acknowledged within 72 hours… I’ve had no response at all. Really poor communication and follow-through. Not what you expect when trusting a vet with your pet’s health.
