Features / Highlights
Independent Practice: One of the significant advantages of Lagan Valley Vets, as highlighted by a long-term customer, is its independent status. In an era where many veterinary practices are acquired by larger corporate groups, an independent clinic often maintains a more personalised approach, with decisions made locally and with the community's specific needs in mind. This can lead to a more tailored and familiar experience for pet owners.
Overnight Pet Care on Premises (Moira): A standout feature, particularly valuable for pets recovering from surgery or requiring intensive medical observation. The ability to keep pets overnight on their premises in Moira provides peace of mind for owners, knowing their beloved animals are continuously monitored and cared for by veterinary professionals, rather than being moved to an external facility or left unattended.
High Standard of Care and Recovery: Customer testimonials consistently praise the level of care provided. For example, a pet named Rosie, who underwent a significant operation, was "well cared for," and her stitches "healed really well." This speaks volumes about the meticulous attention to detail and post-operative care provided by the team.
Experienced and Caring Staff: While staff changes are natural over time, the consistent feedback from long-term clients points to a dedicated team that offers "good advice" and ensures "medical attention when you need it." This suggests a professional and empathetic approach from the vets and support staff.
Face-to-Face Contact and Good Advice: In an increasingly digital world, the emphasis on direct, face-to-face consultations and clear, helpful advice is highly valued by clients. This personal interaction allows for better communication, understanding, and tailored care plans for each individual pet.
Long-Term Client Relationships: The fact that customers have been using Lagan Valley Vets for 15 years or more underscores their reliability and the trust they have built within the community. This longevity in client relationships is a strong indicator of consistent quality and satisfaction.

Lagan Valley Vets Reviews
My Rosie had an operation just before xmasA very large fatty lump. Rosie was well cared for by this vets clinic. Her stitches heeled really well.
Jan 09, 2019 · maxine beckettWe've been using Lagan Valley Vets in Dromore for 15 years, one of the few vets that is still independent and will keep your pet overnight on the premises in Moira. However, over the course of time there have been a few changes of vet so you lose the continuity of care if your pet has a history but you can't expect them to stay forever! You get medical attention when you need it, face to face contact and always good advice. Hope to keep using them for many years to come.
Feb 24, 2024 · Philip FlowerdayLagan Valley Vets have very friendly and helpful staff, I know my dogs are in such good hands with them. If my dogs need seen they get me fitted in usually on the same day, and my dogs love it! Never have they been scared to go to the vets.
May 20, 2022 · Sarah FyffeVery caring, little rescue Kitten was in for her ist injection didn't even miaow.
Sep 11, 2022 · Ellen WilsonI have used this Vet for 20 yrs and highly recommend both the Dromore and Moira surgeries, though parking at Dromore is more accessible. All the vets are excellent, Jenny in particular is superb! Jan is always patient and kind when I have a question or concern and when I have needed assistance outside surgery hours, even late at night, I have always received prompt advice or my dog has been examined. A 5 star service has always been provided here. A HUGE thank you to everyone!
