Vets4Pets - Coalville Reviews
Extremely disappointed. We decided to take our Labrador family pet into vets for pets Coalville to have an hysterectomy.Having had it done, she came home and was very distressed, we thought this was normal, but then a fews days after the operation and having followed all the vets instructions part of her stitches burst and she started bleeding all over our floor. I quickly rang the vets up and was asked to take her down to them asap, no where else. I didn’t think why at the time, but now I think I know. It was to make sure they put right what they did wrong. She went in to the vets and it transpired that part of the original incision had opened. She went in and they stapled it closed and gave her some antibiotics.Upon leaving I asked if there was anything to pay and was told categorically no, being honest as they said their was nothing was to pay it was because she was stitched poorly in the first place, and they wanted to rectify their mistake. I mean have you ever been to the vets and walked out ‘twice’ without paying anything if you didn’t have an account or if it wasn’t the vets fault. Now five weeks later, and out of the blue, they have sent me an email with a bill attached. They never even mentioned this at the next appointment four days later, at the post opp appointment, which was included in the fee. Having now looked into this, i think she wasn’t stitched adequately in the first place, I believe the vets thought that and that’s why they didn’t charge anything, just incase anything had happened. (They could have been proved liable if she had died) However as we are now five weeks on and she is ok. They aren’t worried she’s in danger and are now trying to squeeze a bit more out of us. Absolutely disgusting.Having spoke to them, they have now said as I don’t agree with the additional fee and I am refusing to pay, they are going to go through debt collection agencies to recover any monies they say I ow.Very dissatisfied with the service, not only have they tried to charge me for something they have done poorly, they did also risked my dogs life in the process.I do think customer service isn’t something they’re particularly concerned with. It’s all about the money. How they have handled this is proof of this. I wish now I had taken my dog to another vet now, someone who puts pets before profits.
Mar 17, 2025 · Julian LindsayWe travel over an hour from Ashbourne to use this surgery for our 4 terriers, we have followed the vets from previous practices as they really are worth travelling for… Charlotte and her staff are absolutely brilliant, not only with our hairy family but also with us. Recently had to have an eye removed from our little Daisy as she was really struggling with ulcers and my fears were totally unfounded. Daisy was looked after like the princess she is, after all, a chihuahua x yorkie deserves to have the best care and it was still half the price of some of our local surgeries. We are over the moon with how well it has healed and people haven’t even noticed it is missing. Thank you all for your continued care. Love from Us, Daisy, Hattie, Harry and PoppyPS will be in soon to have the princess toe nails done as I still can’t get anywhere near them 🙈🙈
Mar 26, 2024 · Midland RosettesWe had our whippet and chihuahua Bonnie and Alice spayed there and the vet did a wonderful job. Also when our dogs were attacked by a German shepherd recently they were once again fantastic. I would never take our pets anywhere else, especially Cockburns, who we used before vets4pets opened, and are just awful.
May 19, 2025 · Sue CooperMy recently experience with this Vets4Pets branch was fantastic, everyone helped (Dawn and Sophie) was super nice, friendly, understanding and professional, they did more than I could imagine to help animals, I thank you so much for all their hard work. The vet is located upstairs inside Pets at Home, there is a lift for customers and their pets if needed, the waiting area is spacious and clean. Lots of free animals related leaflets / advices.Plenty of free parking spaces, including disabled and parents & children parking spaces as it’s in a shopping centre area, do watch out the free parking time limit.
Nov 09, 2022 · wai ipThis astounding vet does what the other vets claim to do - a thoughtful, insightful, individual approach to each pet.Without the marketing 'spin' and clever advertising of bigger practices, she is more than they will ever be.I have 8 rescues with harrowing pasts. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
