Jun 09, 2025 · Sam rainbowdashWhen you take on a rescue dog that has had a tragic start in life, there is a possibility that they will come with medical issues. My rescue hound Loki being one of them. I have had Loki for two years, and with the vets help and experience in diagnosing his conditions, he is living his best life.I find that the reception staff nurses and vets are all friendly and will do everything they can to help. Questions are answered fully without the use of medical descriptions so you understand what is wrong with your companion and the necessary treatments available / costs involved. There is a large car park, and the surgery is wheelchair friendly
Jul 01, 2023 · Melanie Jackson.Very expensive and always have charges on that do not appear on the estimate. Consultation fees are almost double that for other vetinary practices and cost of medicines recommended are 3 to 5 times higher than those available online and never offer you the prescription option to buy online even though the cost of the prescription is £24 to try and put you off from requesting anyway. In all of the years of going to Thompsons, they are hardly ever on time for appointments either and never apologise for the delays. They pretend to care for your pets but all they are bothered about is charging you as much as they possibly can. They make excuses that their charges are set by their practice group and the cost of medicines is blamed upon not being able to stock the levels that online medicine providers can even though 4 blood pressure tablets cost £5 per tablet when the online prices are 91p a tablet - how can they not stock these tablets in bulk? Why are they charging 5 times the online cost?
