Jan 07, 2025 · Janice HardwickAfter having treatment with another of our dogs recently it’s highlighted how chronically horrific strachans are. Their decent vets left years ago, been met with nothing but incompetence last year & it’s scary to compare the service we have received the last few weeks from another vets in such a vast way. AvoidI’m sure there will be lots of “positive” reviews will appear directly after this one there’s a theme when a negative review is published …
Apr 13, 2024 · lucy walkerWe have used Strachan's for years. Always compassionate with great care given to the pet. Good informative advice given to make informed choices with no pressure to go down any particular avenue of treatment.
Aug 11, 2022 · Bridget AndersonMy experience was unsatisfactory. Poorly performed physical examination and no clear recommendation, other than the discussion of euthanasia for a dog in overall good health (and not remotely close to the concerns for the consultation). What diagnostic observations were suggested where issues that have always been present (e.g. excessive shedding has always been an issue with the terrier, and a suggested diagnosis was an "allergy". "He must have always had an allergy").Call to Heaton branch suggested bringing in the dog for a second consultation without charge. Although appreciated and an attempt at customer service, the overall experience was too poor to wish to continue dealing with the practice.
