Vets for Pets - Selby Reviews
Unfortunately very disappointed with Vets4pets Selby as I feel their prices are more then other vets prices in the area . They have also taken their pricelist down off the wall so people can't see what their charging and are putting their prices up constantly. Avoid joining them as they are clearly just in it for the money , lots of other caring vets in the area that are dog lovers The vets at this practice couldn't care less .... I've now left them as I felt I was being conned!
Feb 22, 2025 · Tracy DixonI am really upset that when I went to pick up my cat’s worm & flea treatment it wasn’t explained to me why there was a change in her medication. Apparently, Bravecto flea & worming treatment carries the following guidance:The FDA has stated that neurologic adverse events, such as tremors, loss of coordination (ataxia), and seizures are possible with this medication. This Bravecto for cats warning applies not only to cats but also extends to dogs treated with flea and tick medications like Bravecto. When I rang the surgery earlier today to ask why the Bravecto medication has been changed from a ‘spot-on’ to a now chewable tablet called Credelio (to be administered 1 per month), in conjunction with milprazon (1 per 3 months) there wasn’t any clear transparency as to the change in medication.I certainly wasn’t advised of the possible risk factors involved in administering Bravecto to my cat. I was told the change was for ‘environmental’ reasons!I just wish there had been a level of transparency & I would actually, have supported the change in medication.Crucially though, when I picked up the medication there was no explanation on administering it & potentially? I could have given the tablets to be taken monthly (I was given 3) in one dose!I really hope the team take my comments on board as all I want? Is for my 12 year old feline to remain flea & worm free & healthy.
May 27, 2025 · Deborah AdamsonAVOID........they just to bleed as much money as they can out of you. Ive tried for over a year to get a repeat prescription and every month I'm told he either needs a consultation £50 or a blood test £160 first. I asked for antibiotics for his teeth infection...nothing. I asked for help with his arthritis. nothing...Ive changed vets now the 1st thing they did is a course of antibiotics and Librella for his arthritis, hes now running around like a puppy again even though they said he would be dead by now..... I guess the vets are on commision/bonus.
Apr 24, 2025 · Mark WillisFantastic team, really amazing customer service and extremely accommodating. The care my cat’s received is excellent, and the nurses and vets are so patient and lovely. The team go above and beyond to keep you informed, and are so helpful in getting quick appointments in when needed.
Nov 20, 2024 · Ellie HughesSo the Vets themselves are lovely and polite HOWEVER I have a 10 week old puppy who got her first jab on 7/6/20 when she was exactly 8 weeks old. The vet failed to give me any choice in the vaccine, didn't even tell me her weight and because I didn't get a choice she has to wait until she's 12 weeks old to get her second vaccine. So by the time I can take her for walks she will be 13 weeks old. This is awful, and if you are a dog owner you will know that 8-12 weeks is the MOST important time in a puppies life as this is the time they develop fears etc. However, due to the vet giving her a vaccine that takes a MONTH she is going to miss out on WEEKS of socialization which is likely to affect her in the long run.And to top all of this off, I had a voucher for £50 off the first year of complete care, which means I should have only had to pay £35. I was asked if I would like to pay the full amount there and then, to which I said YES! However they completely ignored that and got me on a direct debit which is going to amount to £120, which is absolutely appalling and I feel completely ripped off.
