Even Stride Veterinary Physiotherapy offers a range of highly specialised services designed to cater to various canine mobility and rehabilitation needs. Their expertise lies in delivering targeted treatments that can significantly improve a dog's quality of life.
- Canine Physiotherapy: Utilising a variety of techniques such as massage, stretches, joint mobilisations, and therapeutic exercises, physiotherapy aims to reduce pain, improve flexibility, strengthen muscles, and enhance overall function. This is vital for dogs recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or experiencing age-related mobility issues.
- Hydrotherapy: This service, often conducted in a specialised hydrotherapy pool or underwater treadmill, uses the buoyancy and resistance of water to facilitate exercise without putting excessive strain on joints. It's incredibly effective for rehabilitation after injuries, for pain management in conditions like arthritis and IVDD, and for improving cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength.
- Post-Operative Rehabilitation: For dogs recovering from orthopaedic or neurological surgeries, Even Stride provides structured rehabilitation programmes to aid recovery, prevent muscle wastage, and ensure a safe return to normal activities.
- Management of Chronic Conditions: Specialised care plans are developed for dogs suffering from conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, osteoarthritis, and spinal conditions like IVDD, focusing on pain management, slowing disease progression, and maintaining mobility.
- Weight Management Support: Obesity can exacerbate many mobility issues. Even Stride can incorporate exercise plans into overall weight management strategies for dogs.
- Performance Enhancement: For athletic or working dogs, physiotherapy can help to optimise performance, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery from strenuous activity.
- Home Exercise Programmes: Owners are often provided with tailored exercises and advice to continue their dog’s rehabilitation at home, empowering them to actively participate in their pet's recovery journey.
- Pain Management Strategies: Working in conjunction with veterinary surgeons, Even Stride integrates non-pharmacological methods to manage chronic pain, improving the dog's comfort and well-being.
Even Stride Veterinary Physiotherapy distinguishes itself through several key features and highlights that underscore its commitment to excellence and compassionate care.
- Specialised Expertise: The practice is run by a highly knowledgeable and compassionate professional, Eve, who possesses deep expertise in veterinary physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. This specialisation ensures a focused and effective approach to canine rehabilitation.
- Personalised Care Plans: Every dog receives an individual assessment, leading to a bespoke care plan tailored to their specific diagnosis, needs, and temperament. This personalised approach is crucial for optimal outcomes.
- Positive Reinforcement Philosophy: As highlighted by customer reviews, all interactions and treatments are conducted using positive reinforcement, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable experience for the dogs, which is vital for building trust and cooperation during therapy.
- Compassionate and Supportive Environment: Reviews consistently praise the empathetic and reassuring nature of the service, especially during difficult times for pet owners and their dogs. This emotional support is invaluable.
- Holistic Approach: The practice considers the dog's overall well-being, not just the physical ailment. This includes advice on home care, lifestyle adjustments, and collaborating with referring veterinarians.
- Proven Results: Testimonials from satisfied clients, like Penny's owner, speak volumes about the significant improvements seen in dogs undergoing treatment, from regaining mobility to enjoying a better quality of life.
- Client Education: Owners are thoroughly informed about their dog's condition, the treatment plan, and how they can contribute to their pet's recovery, fostering a strong partnership between the practice and the owner.

Even Stride Veterinary Physiotherapy Reviews
Our 6 y/o cocker spaniel Penny was diagnosed with IVDD and hip arthritis at the start of this year. Surgery isn’t currently an option, so we contacted Eve with no knowledge of how physiotherapy and hydrotherapy could help Penny. Eve explained everything amazingly, helped everything make sense and tailored a care plan that would suit Penny’s needs. It’s been about 3/4 months since her first hydrotherapy session with Even Stride Veterinary Physiotherapy, and the improvements are unbelievable. Penny is getting back to the dog she was before all this began, and a large portion of this is due to the benefits of Eves hydrotherapy sessions and physiotherapy advice. Not only do these sessions help Penny, they help me understand how it is helping and Eve is so reassuring and knowledgeable.I cannot thank you enough for the time and effort invested, and we are full of positivity about Penny’s future, especially as we continue with her sessions! And it’s a bonus that Penny absolutely adores Eve! ❤️
Jul 10, 2024 · Aimee GoodsonI can’t praise Eve highly enough. We reached out to a lot of physios after our baby was diagnosed with grade 5 IVDD and we knew as soon as we spoke to her that she had the outlook we needed. Eve is such a kind, positive person whilst also being extremely knowledgable and realistic about what physio can achieve. We very sadly lost our boy after a lot of complications, but there is nobody else that I could have imagined going on that journey with. At what was an extremely stressful and worrying time, Eve was always full of positivity, patience and gave us much needed reassurance that we were doing everything that we could. If you are picky about who your dog interacts with (like me), do not hesitate in going with Even Stride, everything Eve does is with positive reinforcement and at your dog’s own pace. Thank you so much for being there for us at such a difficult time ❤️
Sep 05, 2024 · Amber WestawayWe have been using Eve for quite a while now for both our dogs. One has Hip Dysplasia and associated arthritis and our other some muscle tightness. Our dog with Hip Dysplasia isn’t much a fan of new people who need to touch him, especially where he hurts. Eve took meeting him at his and out desired pace, listens to every subtle bit of information he provides her as to when is too much or what hurts. But most of all she is now one his favourite people! He LOVES his sessions with her and how good he feels after. Such a kind and genuine person who truly does this for the love and with a huge wealth of knowledge. Eve has worked alongside a couple of vets with us as we have required. If Carlsberg made Vet Physiotherapists..!
