Vets Now Peterborough

32 Papyrus Rd, Peterborough PE4 5BH, UK

4.0
Whilst I am very appreciative of having an OOH vet available; the price of £302 is beyond the reach of most. I contacted Vets Now but on finding out the fee ,for just the consultation, I had decided to wait till the morning when I could take my dog to my own vet. However, then I received an email from Samantha( vet) telling me I should take my dog in as she needed to be seen straight away. This just worried me. And then I received another message telling that they were expecting me. This was all unnecessary pressure. I did take my dog in later and the vet (Megan) who treated her was very understanding and kind.I understand to be seen OOH will cost more but find the fee unreasonable. I don’t understand why the drugs are more expensive when issued by yourselves. Surely the medication costs the same as my own vet can source? And having paid £300 for the consultation ,to be charged again for the vet to give an injection would seem to be purely a money making scheme on your part; taking advantage of people at a time of fear and worry. - Nicola Adams
