Companion Care - Huddersfield Reviews
Would not recommend.quoted £580 and then billed £1050!!! Took our cat in today as he was struggling to walk and looked like he was in pain. First of all the receptionist was rude and not even willing to to look into the membership telling me they didn’t have our details as they had not been transferred from other branch even though I had been to them some time back when my cat was not well.I was then quoted £550-£580 for some X-rays and checkup. And was made to pay the full amount before the treatment even though I showed them my insurance and pet plan with them. She refused to even listen to insurance person on the phone telling me to do a direct claim through the vets. she said just because insurance is saying this we have our own procedure we can not go through them you have to pay and claim from your insurance. When we went to collect our cat the bill had gone to £1050 which no one made us aware of before carrying out any extra scans they just decided to do other stuff without even getting my consent.Absolutely disgustingfor a couple of X-rays and painkillers I’ve been charged almost £1050
May 26, 2025 · Simi TabasumI do understand that you have a bussiness to make money, but usually you pay when you have received the service. At companion you have to pay prior any services received, waiting time for a perscription 5 days when ordered and paid for, that whats we have been advised. A lady had problems using the paying machine she was in distress while holding a wrapped up bundle of her euthanized pet.But bussiness is business i suppose.
Jun 14, 2025 · Richard SucheckiBring 9 out of 10 pets to companian care ( the other goes to a local vet as he hates the car).Never had an issue at all, all staff very friendly, and the vets take their time to allow the pets to relax, only thing is their prices have jumped up since lockdown.
Jan 30, 2025 · Fiona STheir policy is just business, not a caring clinic.Bought a post-surgery suit for a cat here, but the size turned out to be too big. They refused to return the money. This confirms the greed of this clinic.
Feb 25, 2025 · Alexei PikalovI’ve been using this vet practice for years. I’ve always found all the staff to be helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. This morning my cat had an appointment with Tavi. Not only did Tavi look at the issue my cat had gone in for but looked at two other little issues as well. Not only is Tavi a great vet he is also a nice person. Very friendly, approachable and caring.
