April 16 · Peter HearnIt was Tuesday lunchtime and one of my dogs suddenly became lame and, unusually for him, he wouldn't let me examine it.I was resigning myself to having to wait a day or so to see a vet (usual practice at my previous vet) whilst I opened the PetsApp. Much to my great surprise and relief I was able to book him in for later that afternoon.Examination showed there to be a very badly split nail that went right up to the quick. The nail would have to be removed, under sedation and the vet tried to book an operation in Ripon but all the theatres were booked solidly all day and the next.Georgie, the vet, then decided to do the removal herself, assisted by a nurse, to ensure my dog didn't have to suffer the pain any longer than absolutely necessary. I left my dog and was informed that she would let me know when I could collect him.Sure enough I received the good news that all had gone well and he was ready to come home. On collecting him I was given excellent post-procedure care instructions and all the meds that would be needed as well as future appointments for dressing changes.I commend, not only the professionalism shown by all the people, from reception to the veterinary staff, but also their very caring attitude which was evident in the way they treated my dog.As for my boy, after a pretty miserable day and night, he may be limping or hopping about on three legs but he still wants to go out and play. (No Chance)I have no hesitation in recommending Bishopton Vets.
April 19 · PapajayLovely to meet Jess the vet again. She is so gentle with my cat that it is a very easy experience for Saffy. Thanks
April 16 · Sue HicksonLovely friendly and helpful practice. We were visiting the area and they were so helpful in getting our dog in to see a vet as soon as they could. The vet, Ian, was thorough and explained everything very clearly. The lady on reception was so lovely. Very friendly and chatty. If I lived in this area, this would be my bet of choice. Great value, too. Thank you.
April 11 · Tracey MargaretteSince moving into the Pateley area, I have been attending the vets with our 16 year old much loved persian cat, Bella. We have been advised to give her monthly arthritis injections - Jessica is always careful and loving with her. We feel we are in good hands.
