As part of the largest chain of aquatic centres in the UK, this branch offers the benefit of extensive industry knowledge combined with a genuine passion for fishkeeping. Situated conveniently within a popular garden centre, it provides a comprehensive and engaging experience for both novice and experienced aquarists. This article will explore what makes Maidenhead Aquatics St Mellons a top choice for locals in Wales, covering its accessible location, the specialised services it offers, and the standout features that earn it consistent praise from its loyal customer base.
Maidenhead Aquatics St Mellons is strategically located at Blooms Garden Centre, Newport Road, St. Mellons, Cardiff CF3 2WJ, UK. This placement within a well-known garden centre offers several distinct advantages. Firstly, Newport Road is a major thoroughfare in Cardiff, ensuring excellent road access from various parts of the city and its surrounding areas. For residents of St Mellons, Llanrumney, Rumney, and indeed the wider Cardiff and South Wales region, reaching the store is straightforward. Secondly, being part of Blooms Garden Centre means ample and easily accessible parking facilities, which is a significant convenience, especially when picking up bulky items like aquariums or large bags of substrate. The shared environment also creates a pleasant shopping experience, allowing visitors to combine their aquatic shopping with other home and garden needs. While public transport might serve the main Newport Road, direct access to the garden centre itself would likely be most convenient by car, making it a comfortable destination for dedicated aquatic hobbyists across Wales.

February 27 · Mark EvansThe staff here are so knowledgeable and always go above and beyond with advice and recommendations. Thanks especially to Rob who helped me with info on setting up my new planted aquarium and helped to rehome my lonely guppy. Can't recommend them enough. Always have everything we need and the prices are not too bad 🙂
May 25 · kathryn PetersenGreat selection of fish, my first time getting some fish, a young lad by the name of Ryan was really knowledgeable and helpful. I asked a lot of questions which he answered without hesitation! Great asset to the team. Will be returning, thanks again Ryan.
March 25 · EnduroCardiffAppalling service, short answers to questions asked, just rude in general as if he did not want to be there, not the ideal person to have working in a shop where alot of people ask alot of questions, not a great deal of help at all i will not be returning for sure. Also bought 1 fish and that 1 fish had a parasite that has infected my tank and killed of my malawi cichlids not the cheapest fish to lose, ££s down the drain, 1 fish has killed of my fish, added anti parasite and followed the instructions but was too late, came home today to find 3 more dead, bare In mind I have excellent filtration and my water parameters are fine and never had any issues over the years until I bought the 1 fish from this aquarium!! Now I've wasted money, lost interest in the hobby now thanks alot maidenhead aquatics, just avoid this shop!!
