I have been with vets4pets Middlesbrough for about 8years first with my dog Harvey who sadly passed away 4 years ago, but when we got our new puppy lolly there was no doubt vets4pets Middlesbrough was the vets she would go to, she’s not the biggest fan of new people and isn’t fussed on going to the vets but they all love her and are patient with her and she lets them do what they need to, vets nurses and receptionists are all amazing ❤️

Jun 25, 2025 · Sam GoldsbroughAbsolutely appalling the medical negligence from this place is terrible. One vet inperticular the male vet who I’m unsure of his name quite young. We took our 9 year old spaniel in at the end of April as he was lethargic and not eating or walking. When we arrived the vet called us in and told us we couldn’t all come in with him. The first thing he told us was we close at 12 I don’t have time to check him properly (he must of told us this 5 times before even looking at our dog). He was extremely rough with him and left mid appointment because he was too busy. He then called a vet nurse in who explained he is very sick and they would need to keep him in till 12 when they closed for a blood test and IV fluids and at 12 he would be transferred to the out of hours vet and we would expect a class. We dropped him off at 9am and recieved a call at 12 in which we were told that he needs to go to the out of hours vet but it looks like it could just be and infection or a UTI so we were extremely hopeful he would just need simple treatment. But to our surprise when we arrived at the out of hours vet the vet called us all in the room and explained that his blood test results showed extremely low red blood cells and he could have a fatal anemia that could kill him and without a doubt he would definitely need a blood transfusion. This vet only knew this from the test results vets for pets provided to the out of hours vet so WHY weren’t we told this on the phone from vets for pets. They completed more tests and we were told the tests he needed were too complex for that practise so he had to be transferred to a animal hospital in Cramlington for a blood transfusion and further tests. The next day we received the worst news that the blood transfusion wasn’t successful and he would have to be put to sleep as he was so poorly. Since the appointment with vets for pets we have had no follow up calls and we cancelled our monthly direct debit that was set up for the flea and worming tablet however this month they have re set up the direct debit and taken money for the tablet. I cannot believe the lack of communication from one practise to another. We are also constantly getting text reminders for his care plan even though he is not with us anymore. We were also charged £600 from then for basic care which is labelled as a lot less in texts the practise have sent us. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. SAID MY DOG HAD A UTI AND HAD PASSED AWAY WITHIN 12 HOURS. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Jun 14, 2025 · Hannah WibergTook our puppy Ronnie here to restart vaccines. Jun 25, 2025 · Gill KilcullenWent to the vets on 7th Feb for my pups annual check up and vaccinations. He's not a fan of going but they were pretty much running on time so he didn't have long to wait. The vet (Celia?) did his check up as quickly as she could to keep his stress levels down and we discussed some things that might his stress levels next time we visit. We went for a walk in the park after the visit and he was fine. 20mins after he was not acting like him. I phoned the vets back and explained what was happening to him. The receptionist heard his howl down the phone and spoke to the vet. This is 1pm and I'm due to go away at 2pm. They organised it so I could come down straight away. We immediately saw the vet and on the way out, the receptionist asked how it went. They could not have done more and my pup and he was fine in the end. Thank you!
