Rose Valley Vets offers a wide array of services designed to cover all aspects of your pet's health journey. Their commitment to comprehensive care means addressing various needs, from preventive measures to specialised treatments. While a detailed list of every single service is not available, based on the nature of a modern veterinary practice and customer feedback, we can infer a broad range of provisions.
General Consultations and Health Checks: This forms the cornerstone of pet care, including routine examinations, vaccinations, parasite control, and general health advice to keep pets in optimal condition. Regular check-ups are vital for early detection of potential health issues.
Diagnostic Services: Likely includes in-house laboratory testing (blood tests, urine analysis), digital X-rays, and potentially ultrasound, allowing for quick and accurate diagnosis of various conditions.
Surgical Procedures: Ranging from routine spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries, performed with appropriate anaesthesia and post-operative care.
Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services, including scaling, polishing, and extractions, crucial for preventing painful dental diseases and promoting overall health.
Emergency and Critical Care: While not explicitly stated as a 24/7 service, a professional vet practice will typically have provisions for handling emergencies during operating hours and often partnerships for out-of-hours care.
Prescription Services: Dispensing necessary medications for various conditions. It is important to note, as per a customer review, that specific protocols for obtaining prescriptions, particularly concerning nurse vs. vet consultations, should be clarified directly with the practice to avoid any misunderstandings.
End-of-Life Care and Bereavement Support: As highlighted by a particularly poignant customer review, Rose Valley Vets offers compassionate and professional support during the difficult time of putting a beloved pet to sleep. This includes respectful cremation services, the return of ashes, and thoughtful keepsakes like paw print cards and forget-me-not seeds, demonstrating a deep understanding of the emotional bond between pets and their owners.
Rose Valley Vets distinguishes itself through several key features and highlights that underscore its commitment to patient care and client satisfaction.
Empathetic and Professional Staff: A standout feature, as attested by a customer's review concerning end-of-life care, is the highly professional and empathetic approach of the entire staff. This level of compassion is invaluable, particularly during challenging times for pet owners, and suggests a deeply caring team.
Thoughtful Bereavement Support: The provision of keepsakes such as paw print cards and forget-me-not seeds is a remarkable and sensitive touch, offering comfort and lasting memories to grieving pet owners. This goes beyond standard veterinary services and speaks volumes about their understanding of the human-animal bond.
Focus on Pet Needs: The dedication to ensuring pets receive the care they need, whatever that may be, reflects a patient-centric approach to veterinary medicine.
Client Communication (Area for Improvement): While positive experiences highlight empathy, one review points to potential issues with communication regarding appointment types (nurse vs. vet for prescriptions) and associated costs. This suggests that while core care is strong, clients should be proactive in clarifying appointment details and charges to ensure a smooth experience. It is always advisable to confirm the exact nature of your appointment and any potential fees upfront.

Rose Valley Vets Reviews
One of the most upsetting things you can do is put your beloved pet to sleep. From the minute we walked in the door, we received nothing but a professional and empathetic service from all staff involved. We wanted our pet to be cremated and to receive her ashes back, which we got back today which took around 2 weeks. We asked for a scatter tube which we got, but we also got some amazing keepsakes. We got cards with our pets paw print in them as well as forget me not seeds to scatter in our garden. I would highly recommend anyone to use Rose Valley Veterinary Surgery for all your pets needs, whatever they may be.
Mar 19, 2025 · Scott KAwful vet practice. Receptionist is incompetent. Asked for vet appointment for prescriptions and was booked with the nurse. Nurse couldn’t prescribe but still had to pay.Still had to see vet to get prescriptions. Had to pay again despite explaining we were booked with nurse by the receptionist and explicitly asked for the vet.Paid twice for what we needed. Not caring for animals, all about the money. Avoid
May 12, 2025 · Xtina HewlettFirstly I would like to give some background. We had a beautiful cocker spaniel called Charlie. He had a few issues which his initial vet wanted to amputate his paw. This seemed excessive to us so we sought a second opinion. We took Charlie to Rose valley vets where he was welcomed, calmed and shown love, the vet said that the previous diagnosis was incorrect. He was given antibiotics, the paw sore was cleaned and bandaged. We were told to leave the bandage on for 7 days, when we removed it and then he had finished his course of antibiotics the wound had heald no more problems. Finally at 12 years Charlie got a massive lump in his neck and in his mouth. We obviously took him to Rose Valley but the prognosis was not good. We asked for their honest opinion saying "if Charlie was your dog what would you do?" They answewd honestly and we booked an appointment for the vet to come to our home and put him to sleep. This for any animal owner is horrendous. Myself, my two boys and husband were in bits. The vets arrived as arranged, they were lovely with Charlie chatting to him petting him and relaxing him, he was licking the vets arm when he shaved his leg and put the canula in, we were given time and sat with him comfortably, very gently the vet injected the fluid into Charlie. Within 5 seconds our best friend was out of pain and had gone to a better place. Painful for us but made so much better by the love care and attention from these wonderful vets. We cannot thank you enough x
