I am giving this review regarding today. I have been with pdsa for a long time for my cat and dog but today we sadly had to put our 15 year old family cat to rest. We felt supported, everything was explained, we were treated with respect, caring, understanding and genuine sympathy. We were given as much time as we needed, we weren’t rushed out and we truly felt like they were taking the journey of grief with us. Thank you so much to everyone involved in our cats passing over at the pdsa we appreciate your care today so much. It also made me think twice about moaning waiting for so long in the waiting room, you never know when there is a family taking up a room using their time to say goodbye to a part of their family. Thank you again to everyone involved in our Gary’s care and his passing today (yes our cat was called Gary) thank you pdsa 😽🥺
Jul 07, 2025 · Samantha HudsonHonestly couldn't reccomend PDSA any more. Sam, our vet was absolutely fantastic. Acted so quick and he just knew there wasn't something right with our cat, Marley. Had him look after from the minute we got in, overnight and throughout. He's now on the mend after life saving surgery and honestly thank you so much guys. Marley will be forever grateful ❤️

They asked us to provide images and they called back within the hour with a treatment plan.Popped in later in the day to collect prescription and although it was busy there were signs to say how long it would take if you were waiting for a vet. We were sorted with a prescription within 10minutes for a small fee.Thanks for always taking fab care of my fur babies and being so kind and helpful in our times of need.

Sadly, I cannot say the same for the customer service experience at your Blackpool location, which was an entirely different story.We encountered a female customer service manager who, to put it gently, could use a refresher on basic human decency and professional conduct. I’ve interacted with many people in customer-facing roles, but never have I been spoken to with such hostility, rudeness, and inexplicable aggression.Our dachshund had been involved in a fight with his littermate—an unfortunate situation that had been escalating due to his increasing aggression. We were advised to get a health check following the incident as his aggression could be from something underlying. After the fight, he was not eating, not drinking, staying in his cage, and had visible wounds. We registered him with PDSA, but were told we had to wait 24 hours before we could book an appointment. When we finally tried to do so, we were initially denied.Thankfully, after calling customer service and explaining the situation in more detail, a very helpful gentleman identified that the original request didn't mention that our dog had been injured, was hiding in his crate or not eating. He told me I need to call the line and told me which options to choose.At the appointment, the vet—who again was lovely—suggested that rehoming might be the best course of action for our dog, given the behavioral concerns. We mentioned that a health report would be necessary for this process and said she would speak with the customer service manager if she can send one. That, unfortunately, is where the experience took a sharp nosedive.Instead of a conversation, I was pulled into a room, where the manager shut the door in my fiancé’s face, and immediately accused me of “misleading” the clinic. When I asked for clarification, understandably confused, she simply said, “You know what you’ve done,” as if I were being interrogated. She then claimed the wounds were "historic"—a fascinating diagnosis, considering the injury had occurred only the day before. Once again, we calmly explained the timeline, encouraged her to review the call recordings and file notes, which would clearly show our transparency and the unfortunate sequence of events caused by their processing delay.Rather than investigate, she continued with a combative and accusatory tone, now in front of my fiancé and children, berating me without pause. She said the staff on the helpline are now outscored and dont know their job. When my fiancé pointed out that an apology was in order, her response was, “I’ll call you if she deserves an apology.” A masterclass in deflection and arrogance, if ever there was one.This experience has left us appalled. The veterinary care was excellent—but the aggressive, accusatory handling by a senior member of your customer service staff was beyond inappropriate. I can only hope this complaint leads to a serious review of her conduct, although based on our experience, I won’t hold my breath
