Yorkshire Vets - Meanwood Reviews
The staff were friendly, but the prices were outrageous. £62 for a 10-minute consultation, followed by an additional £80+ for antibiotics for my cat. It honestly felt more like a cash grab than a genuine effort to provide value for money. The focus seems to be on how much they could charge rather than delivering a fair service.
Jan 28, 2025 · Lee AkersAll the staff are very welcoming and helpful. My appointments are always on time and met with friendly vet staff every time.
Jun 13, 2025 · Erica ByramExtreme difficulty in getting hold of anyone by phone to order a repeat prescription for my cat. I left a message as directed (twice) but no response. When I called into the practice in person I was made to wait for half an hour - and then charged £31 for the prescription - up from the £28 I paid 3 months previously. I order the medicine online because it saves over a third of the cost compared with buying from the practice.Practice also looks tired and long overdue for a coat of paint and a refurb. Looks like the owners (based in Bristol) are cutting back on service and taking max profits.
Oct 15, 2024 · Ray CastleNever seem to answer phones or reply to emails. Closest vet to me so I have no other options as I don't drive. Recently had bad experience with a vet I've never seen before being too rough with my dog and releasing to me when he was still heavily sedated. Never had an issue with the usual vet and have used them for about 20 years. No wheelchair access as there's a high step to go in and a narrow doorway. Lots of parking available.
Oct 09, 2024 · Heatha YatesClean and friendly place. However, I would like to know why i was charged over £40 for Isathal cat eye drops 10mg when they cost only £10.60 on Amazon for the exact same? The consultation fee of £56.50 for a 15 minute appt is already pricey enough. This really feels incredibly expensive and over priced and can clearly state that as a result of this many people will avoid vets as they can't afford it! Why do you need to have a mark up so high?? Very unhappy about this as it appears to be saying you can only care for animals if you are in a certain pay bracket.
