Westway Veterinary Group, Howdon Reviews
Had my 2 crazy dogs and 1 chill cat there today, just joined. The staff there were just so lovely. Making a fuss of the animals (even though one is so hyper) prices were brilliant and I've signed up for the pet plan too. Can't recommend them enough. I was with Vets4pets and was not happy with the way they interacted with me and my animalsWe seemed like a transaction. But at Westway everyone was chatty and just amazing! Thank you so much:)
Jul 16, 2025 · Wendy GallagherAfter a short illness and cancer diagnosis, Dexter was put to sleep this morning at the West Road branch. A heartbreaking situation as he’d been in our lives for 15 beautiful years.I want to praise and thank Catriona as we were in Howden on Wednesday. She showed Dexter a lot of love and made sure he’d be as comfortable as possible at home whilst his blood results came back. She explained everything very clearly and answered our questions thoroughly. It’s obvious how much she genuinely cares.
Jul 12, 2025 · Craig MassonI just want to say thank you so much to Catrina, Mandy & Lindsey for all their help the last few months with our dog Meg, you have given us as much help as we could possibly need having an extra 4 months with Meg after she fell ill at the start of the year, after finding out she had pancreatitis we gave her everything we could and she thrived for months, it gave us great comfort to see her loving her food, her walks, her happiness but sadly it started again & it was just too much for her being 16 and half years old.Catarina wasted no time in sending us over to the west road for her bloods & scan, we could not have been more supported. She had a great life like her sister Penny, they had holidays & the-most love a dog could ever ask for, we both worked from home so they were always with us, sadly when Penny passed Meg lost a bit of her spark and it was sad to see her miss her big sister so much, but we believe they’re back together again. We can’t repay them for what they have given us in life & what we have gone through they have given us a reason to carry on.Your integrity, dedication & kindness helped us so much & we are very grateful.Lucy & Guy
Apr 30, 2025 · lucy walkerGreat staff and service at Howdon branch Oscar loves them all. Even if he’s not sure about being there. The staff make such a fuss of him. We are part of the pet plan and it’s well worth it.
Feb 07, 2025 · Sheila DoddsFred is a very nervous dog but the vet was very gentle and patient with him so he won't think it's such a scary place next time
