Oakhill Veterinary Group, Windermere Reviews
Wonderful service from the first phone call. We were on holiday in the Lakes over New Year and our dog became poorly with persistent diarrhoea and lethargy for more than 4 days. When we rang early on 2nd Jan we were greeted with a friendly and efficient service and were given an appointment straightaway. The reception area is immaculate and has lots of personal touches (such as a bereavement candle) and the reception staff were super. We saw a vet called Jen who was fantastic. Not only was she sympathetic, but she explained the possible sources of our dog’s illness carefully and in a non-rushed manner. We certainly didn’t feel like we were just being processed with the minimum care. My wife and I came out feeling relieved and positive……and after a day or so of medication Matty has returned to his normal self. Thank you all so much at Oakhill vets 💙

May 28, 2025 · tricky dickyWe were visiting Lake District from London, my doggos first holiday. Unfortunately our dog got very very very sick, very quickly. Oakhill were the first vets we called and were seen pretty fast. Unfortunately my dog had to be admitted and needed urgent care. She is alive fyi!The team here were beyond amazing! I wish i had a better word! There empathy was phenomenal, their support un paramount, and the care my dog received set the bar of what i would expect from my local vets (which i didn’t get so I’m looking for different vets!)Everyone here LOVES animals! They asked all about my dog even which type of music she likes so they could calm her whilst treating her.Tina - our main vet was exceptional.I do fear had this happened closer to home my dog would not have survived, and i do not say that lightly.I can not thank the staff and intelligent vets here enough. Thanks to them, my beloved golden is home, happy and most importantly Alive!
