The Runtlings Cattery Reviews
Back in December we had a 5 night break booked and our cat / kitten should have been staying with a friend whilst we were gone. However, 2 weeks before our break, our cat was neutered and just as her cone should have been coming off, she developed an abscess at her incision site. This meant she needed a 10 day course of antibiotics and her cone leaving on for a further 7-10 days. Our friend didn’t feel confident looking after her whilst still in the cone and needing medication so we had to try and find a professional cattery to take of her. Several turned us down as soon as they heard she would need 3 days of antibiotics and her cone removing midway through her stay with them… The Runtlings, however, did not. To say I was a nervous wreck, leaving her for the very first time with strangers whilst so vulnerable, would be an understatement! However, I truly mean it when I say all my anxiety disappeared as soon as I met Nigel. It was clear from the second we met that he cared very much about our little Lilly and would treat her just like one of his own. He was professional and knowledgeable and was obviously confident when it came to administering her medication too. He took me on a tour of the premises, showed me where Lilly would be staying, explained their typical daily routine and was so affectionate with all the other cats staying there, as we walked around. I left her knowing she was in the very best hands and I was right! When we collected her, she was cone-free, incision site perfectly healed, happy as can be and not at all bothered that she’d had a little break from us. I will never leave her with anyone else in the future - not even friends or family - I would 100% rather pay Nigel and know she is in the very best hands. Thank you so much for everything, Runtlings; you’re the best!
