North View Cats Hotel Reviews
We chose North View Cats Hotel based on recommendations and were really pleased with our choice. Our two cats came home very contented and healthy after their weeks stay. Their enclosure was a great size with a big window and it was well ventilated too, with a big, secure opening for them to 'view' the outside! They're already booked in for our next weekend break.
Aug 03, 2021 · Kate PollardVisited to view the Kennels to board my dogs for an upcoming holiday. Set in beautiful countryside, I met with Andrew [owner] who was very helpful, informative and thorough. I very much liked what I saw and and consequently booked my dogs in. I was offered a free trial day so the staff could met the dogs and for them to know that I'm coming back for them which is such a lovely touch. They have a five star rating from the local council which they rightly so are proud of. Very reasonably priced and an excellent discount for a second dog. You can take as much of your dogs home comforts (bedding, toys, treats etc) as you like and thier own food if your dogs have a special diet or they will provide more generic foods. Was very reluctant to leave the dogs at a Kennel but after speaking with Andrew I am more than happy for them [the dogs] to have a holiday too.
Apr 20, 2019 · Adrian JervisWe have been using North View Boarding Kennels for over fifteen years now for our Labs. Our Newest addition Poppy who is now three has been boarding here from a puppy so Karen, Andy ,Scott are like family to her.We feel comforted that Poppy will be loved and well looked after whilst we are away.Karen and Andy also provided day care for Poppy after we had a family emergency last year .I thoroughly recommend North View Boarding Kennels and would not go anywhere else.June and Dave Handley
May 20, 2016 · June HandleyTook my two boys and, foolishly, went on a recommendation from a nurse at the vet's, without knowing she had not been there for a year and a half, so didn't check it out first. Arrived on the way to an important engagement in York, so couldn't turn back. The kennels, each in a dimly lit, dingy, concrete bunker of a place, stank of pee. There were little puddles of dirty water standing here and there in the whole place. There were no outside runs attached to the bunker. All the dogs in there had to endure not only the stench, but also the incredible noise because there were no windows that I could see and the noise of dogs barking, whining and whimpering had nowhere to go.We left the dogs 10am Friday morning until Sunday, being told we could not pick them up before 3pm on Sunday. So I was not thrilled to be charged for three days since as the owner Andrew told me, they could not let out the space on Sunday since our dogs were in there. I would have picked them up first thing on Sunday morning, given the chance, so I find this practice to be cynical. And it is expensive - absolutely overpriced for the horrible hole my boys had to endure, and £5 per day more than their usual, lovely kennels.I was also told they would be fed the same food as their normal diet. When they were picked up, stinking of the kennels and wired to the moon, they shot out of the car on their local walk I immediately took them and instantly poohed and wee-ed. I had been told they had had two walks that day, but they were so desperate to relieve themselves, I can't quite see how. And strangely enough, there pooh was yellow and wet - not their normal pooh, so what they had been fed on I have no idea. Never had that from the other kennels. I had told Andrew how many grams of food each dog ate - he didn't write down the different amounts when we told him at check-in and I only saw Bakers crappy food in a sack on the counter and in one of the dog bowls. I am disgusted and will never take my boys there again. I think that fulsome reviews of this place - which is nothing like the website - are questionable. Try Sundown Kennels on Mains Lane. They are clean, pleasant and Linda does a fantastic job. Wish they'd had the blasted room at the time.
Sep 01, 2013 · Stephanie Goldstone-CreaseyOur 14 year old Heidi had her first week ever in a cattery here. She has come back home very contented and in good spirits. We will definitely continue to use North View in the future. Excellent service and very pleasant staff.
