- Sale of Reptiles and Amphibians: As a dedicated reptile shop, their primary service involves the sale of various reptile species, potentially including snakes, lizards, tortoises, and other exotic pets.
- Reptile Enclosures and Habitats: They would offer a selection of vivariums, terrariums, and other appropriate enclosures, along with advice on setting up suitable environments for different species.
- Specialised Food and Nutrition: Providing a range of live and frozen feeds, supplements, and specialised diets tailored to the dietary needs of various reptiles.
- Heating and Lighting Equipment: Essential supplies such as heat lamps, UV-B bulbs, thermostats, and other climate control devices crucial for reptile health.

- Accessories and Health Products: Offering various accessories like feeding tongs, water dishes, cleaning supplies, and basic health products for reptiles.
- Expert Advice and Guidance: A crucial service for any specialist pet store is providing knowledgeable advice on reptile care, husbandry, and species-specific requirements. This includes guidance for beginners and ongoing support for experienced keepers.
Customer feedback indicates some particular aspects of the store and its offerings. While some experiences highlight concerns regarding specific advice, other reviews praise certain aspects:
- Focus on Reptiles: The store's specialisation in reptiles is a key feature, distinguishing it from general pet stores. This focus suggests a broader range of reptile-specific products and potentially more in-depth knowledge in this area.
- Customer Responsiveness: One customer highlighted their responsiveness to messages on Facebook, indicating a commitment to engaging with their customer base through social media. This can be a valuable feature for quick queries or support.
- Pricing: A customer noted "very good prices," which can be a significant draw for local customers looking for value when purchasing reptile supplies or animals.
- Customer Experience Variance: It is important to acknowledge that customer experiences can vary. While some have reported positive interactions regarding general purchases and responsiveness, others have expressed significant concerns regarding the accuracy of care advice for specific animals like tortoises. This suggests that while some aspects of their service are well-received, customers should exercise their own due diligence, especially when seeking critical care information for their pets. It underscores the importance of cross-referencing information from multiple reputable sources, including veterinary professionals and established reptile welfare organisations.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dangerously wrong advice about tortoises — avoid if you care about your pet’s welfare. We visited Reptile Hunters in Belfast — who claim to be the #1 reptile specialist in NI — while preparing to buy a Hermann’s tortoise, but left shocked by the advice given.Dave — who clearly enjoys the sound of his own voice more than listening — insisted that tortoises must be kept in a vivarium, ignoring the widely accepted view among owners, vets, and organisations that a tortoise table is the recommended indoor enclosure for Hermann’s, Horsefield, and other common breeds in the UK and Vivariums should only be used as a temporary setup. He even told us he wouldn’t sell us a tortoise unless we either bought their vivarium setup or showed photos of our own. When we mentioned tortoise tables, he dismissed them completely without discussion. What really put us off was how he ended the conversation — by trashing a competitor (Pets at Home) and telling us never to buy a tortoise from them. That came across as unprofessional and made us question everything he said.If you’re considering a tortoise, please go somewhere else. We were genuinely gutted by their approach. The advice given here could do more harm than good.We ended up buying our tortoise from Pet Bliss in Dundalk, where the staff actually knew what they were talking about.

January 13 · Kevin kellyWas greeted today by a very rude man by yous need to make it quick I'm closing soon that was 2.45pm was shocked ok asked for few things they did not suit because of the price he replied to tell me he's the cheapest in Belfast. Not true because I got what I needed else and cheaper. As we were leaving two young lady's come into shop and he did not greet them the same way. A bit of manner and customer service would go a long why. Plus maybe some form of animal welfare should be in offer as I saw lots of larges snakes and reptile in tiny little boxes very sad.
